Megan is a wonderfully talented, educated, driven individual. She takes great care in her work, and excels at all she does. Having received a 1st in Law she is more than qualified to guide students along the track of being able to obtain the same results. I have known Megan for over 3 years and have seen her receive many setbacks, however the ways in which she dealt with these make her an ideal professor both educationally and pastorally. She has been in the position of many of the individuals looking for tutorage and exited the other side with incredible achievements. I hope you seriously consider using her experience and knowledge for your own personal journey.

Interview with Megan

QUESTION 01 | 08
When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
Megan — After many of my own struggles during my university degree and LPC - I was inspired to give back and ensure that other students in the same position did not experience the same problems. I therefore created resources and toolkits along the way to give to future students to best help their learning. In terms of English tutoring, I absolutely loved my English A-Level and I am very passionate about the English language.
QUESTION 02 | 08
Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
Megan — I teach English Language and English Literature to all ages and then the core modules of the LLB, LPC and GDL. I have vast experience in Litigation and enjoy discussing areas such as Ethics and Politics. I love reading and so please feel free to recommend any good books, texts or journal articles!
QUESTION 03 | 08
Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
Megan — My role model is the Head Teacher at my previous school. This teacher was stern but kind and always wanted to provide the best possible support for her students. She always went above and beyond to help the students understanding and always was a great person to just talk to. I am inspired by her on a daily basis and try and practice her incredible ways throughout my tutoring.
QUESTION 04 | 08
What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
Megan — Being able to listen intently, communicate well, manage meetings effectively and deal with a variety of students at differing levels!
QUESTION 05 | 08
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
Megan — "Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world" - Nelson Mandela
QUESTION 06 | 08
What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
Megan — The biggest difficulty within the profession is continually staying on top of new topics and cases. You must have a very in depth commercial awareness of the world around you. Therefore, reading the news, articles and recent judgments on a daily basis is a must! Ensuring you have spare time to catch up on recent affairs is imperative or you will fall behind.
QUESTION 07 | 08
Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
Megan — I am a fitness fanatic and enjoy going to a variety of gym classes including spinning!
QUESTION 08 | 08
What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P) ?
Megan — I am a very bubbly and friendly person that wants to ensure all students get the best possible help in securing their desired grades and goals.
