About Julie
I have wide and varied experience including working in UK primary schools, teaching English as a foreign language in the UK, Greece and Japan, tutoring small groups and individuals, teaching small groups of home educated children and teaching my own home educated children.
I am committed to a child-centred approach, starting from where the child is and building on that. I take into account the child's emotional state as well as their academic ability. I believe children learn best when they are having fun and enjoying themselves, and so I use games, puzzles, investigations, stories and fun activities in my lessons.
