About Laiba
I am soon to be a Sixth Form student studying for my A-Levels. Mathematics has always been my strongest passion. I have consistently performed at the top of my cohort, achieving confident predicted Grade 9s in both GCSE Mathematics and Triple Science (STEM subjects).
Because of my strong performance, I became the first student in my school's recent history to have a GCSE Further Mathematics option opened for me, a course which I self-taught to achieve a predicted Grade 7. This unique experience taught me exactly how to study mathematics independently, how to break down complex algebraic concepts without relying on a teacher, and how to stay disciplined.
Why I Am Tutoring
Having literally just walked out of the GCSE exam halls myself, my insight into the current AQA and Edexcel exam specifications is completely fresh.
I want to use my recent success to help Year 10 students navigate the jump into higher-tier maths, showing them that with the right structure and confidence, anyone can master this subject.

I plan to structure my online lessons into four clear phases to ensure your child never feels overwhelmed and builds genuine confidence whilst tackling problems in an inclusive manner. I will ask about previous complicated topics and topics being tackled in school that week and reinforce the material. I will assess confidence on practice questions and perform accordingly, providing an ‘I do, we do, you do’ system.
