Imagine your equation is like a mystery story — your job is to find "x" (the missing number).
Let’s say:
2x + 3 = 11
Think of it like this:
You have two mystery boxes (2x) and 3 candies, and the total is 11 candies.
Step 1: Take away 3 candies from both sides
2x + 3 - 3 = 11 - 3
️ 2x = 8
Step 2: Divide the candies evenly between the 2 boxes
2x ÷ 2 = 8 ÷ 2
️ x = 4
You found the mystery number! "x" is 4.
