About Josh
I am currently a PhD student at Cardiff University and achieved a 2.1 in my Master's Degree. I have huge amount of experience tutoring both online and in person, having 100+ hours on this site alone. I also have a vast amount of experience with children as a children's entertainer and scout leader.
I have tutored in past for a university access course and GCSE. Most recently i have began delivering my own university level courses in schools for children who are more able and talented. I pride myself in providing a fun engaging and educational experience for affordable prices!
My passion is making science fun and accessible to people of any age or ability. I am based in Cardiff l am willing to travel to your door or supply you with online sessions. My teaching strategy is to be approachable and silly meaning the student and myself build a rapport, rather than a normal teacher student relationship! For an example of my delivery technique read the article 'Five ways nanoscience is making science fiction science fact' which was published on the popular science communication site IFLscience!

Perfect! Great Tutor
Josh helped my son Sofus with preparing his IB Mock tests last week. Josh is active and clear and kept him active with a lot of questions.
Sofus was really happy and will gladly use Josh for more sessions when necessary. He can recommend Josh as a Tutor.
Subject : Chemistry
Outcome : No result back on Mock, but gave confidence.Perfect! Immediate impact
Josh has been working with my son for a couple of weeks now on both Physics and Chemistry at GCSE. I've seen both increased enthusiasm and a marked increase in confidence both subjects in that short time. Josh and he quickly established a rapport over Skype and I would have no hesitation in recommending Josh.
Subject : Physics
Outcome : Increased enthusiasm, confidence and understanding from the very first lesson.View more reviews

Josh helped me with my A level equivalent chemistry course. He was very patient and explained things to me repeatedly and in different ways until I understood the concept. He is very friendly and easy to get along with and obviously understands his subject very well and therefore is more than able to teach it to others. Thoroughly recommend as a tutor!
Josh was a very friendly tutor who made me feel at ease straight away. His knowledge on my GCSE syllabus was fabulous; he went away and researched mark schemes, examiners comments and thoroughly knew his stuff! Would definitely recommend.
