About Matt
Hi, I’m Matt, a Maths degree student with the Open University and a passion for helping other students build confidence and improve their understanding of maths.
I know maths can feel overwhelming at times, especially when topics are explained too quickly or confusingly. My goal is to make lessons feel relaxed, supportive, and easy to follow by breaking problems down step by step and focusing on understanding rather than memorising.
I particularly enjoy helping students who struggle with confidence in maths, and I focus heavily on clear explanations, exam technique, and building problem-solving skills.
Alongside my studies, I also work professionally and understand the importance of patience, communication, and adapting to different learning styles. Outside of maths, I have a strong interest in photography, technology, and understanding how things work.

I’m a Maths degree student offering online GCSE Maths tutoring focused on building confidence, improving understanding, and helping students achieve better exam results.
My teaching style is calm, supportive, and step-by-step. I break difficult topics down into simple explanations and work through exam-style questions together to help students feel more confident with maths and exam technique.
Lessons are typically 1 hour long and tailored to each student’s needs and current ability level. I can help with topics including algebra, fractions, ratios, geometry, trigonometry, and general GCSE revision.
I am currently studying for a Maths degree and achieved a 96% average in recent university maths work. My lessons are aimed at GCSE students (Foundation or Higher) who want extra support, confidence, or preparation for exams.
