About Grady
Here are some reviews I've received from students: "Smart, enthusiastic, patient. I'm an older adult who has some basic piano ability (very basic), and within moments Grady evaluated and then clicked in with my needs. I suspect he would be perfect for children also." --Richard, 75 years old "Grady is teaching me and my girlfriend piano. Has been an amazing experience thus far, and he is fantastic at teaching all "types" of students. I am more of a "play by ear, who cares about reading music" kind of guy, and my girlfriend wants to learn exactly "by the book", and Grady has been able to take a unique approach to both of our lessons. Highly recommended!!" --Derek, 32 years old Grady is totally fun and made me feel very comfortable. He listened to what kind of songs I want to learn. Grady is the best teacher I have ever had! I can’t wait to have another lesson with him! - Olivia, 10 years old

My personal philosophy of music is to explore and learn as much from my students as I can teach them. For me, teaching is like going on an adventure to find something together. I like to approach music as a language of expression and not just learning how to play the notes but going a layer deeper into the unique expression each person has within.

Perfect! Absolutely great time talking to him just overall positive vibes!
- Julisa (Paz’s daughter) is such a bright young student! I could immediately tell that she’s the type of student where the sky is the limit!Grady's response :
Perfect! Grady is amazing! He can always explain complex concepts in a way that makes sense. He has been amazing with all of my vibraphone/marimba questions, as well as music theory, composition, and overall percussion issues. My playing has improved since working with him, and I have a deeper understanding of music theory now. Thank you!!
- Elena is super bright and curious learner! It is such a joy to have her as student and to see her develop from lesson to lesson!Grady's response :

We have known Grady Tesch for 8 years!
We first met in 2017 when our son was just four years old and we were looking to start piano lessons.
Right from the start, we knew Grady was talented, kind, gentle and skilled in teaching all levels of musical learning.
Grady has grown to be a trusted friend. Our son has enjoyed every minute, of every lesson, all these years.
We have also been able to attend many of Grady’s own musical performances, such great experiences for our son to witness.
Grady is an all around wonderful human, with unbelievable talent to boot!Grady is the most amazing teacher and human being!! As a complete beginner I have learned so much and laughed a ton along the way. He is super patient and also always makes sure to make things fun and interesting.
Grady was a fantastic teacher! So patient, helpful, and fun. He meets you at your skill level and helps you advance quickly. Very reliable and timely, too.
Grady is a great teacher. He is smart, enthusiastic, high-energy and supportive. He can handle all skill levels. This guy knows his business. Although I am an older student I know that Grady is terrific with children and teens. I have been playing the piano for over half a century, and I am really pleased to be able to recommend Grady.
Taking piano lessons with Grady greatly shaped my musical ear and boosted my creativity. He gave me exercises I still use today and his supportive teaching made every lesson inspiring. I’m so grateful for the lasting impact he’s had on my musical journey.
I took percussion lesson with Grady back in 2022-2023, and he was always good about being on time, being flexible with my schedule, and teaching in a way I could understand. He had a really good grasp on his technique and gave me more than the surface level answers I could find on YouTube. A great teacher if you’re serious about getting to the next level.
