About George
My goal is not only to merely help you with your upcoming exams, but also to develop your creativity, intuition, reasoning, knowledge and confidence in mathematics by providing the proper stimuli in the form of problems you work on or questions during a lesson. These act as a 'prelude' to discovering the main ideas and inspiration behind a concept or problem. In retrospect, I owe my distinctions and competition medals to this learning technique.
Mathematics can be extremely rewarding and I am confident you will see the beauty in reasoning and working with mathematical objects, apart from just acing your exam.

I try to help students develop their mathematical maturity. In brief, mathematical maturity refers to a student's knowledge, creativity, intuition, critical thinking, foresight and confidence when it comes to mathematics. From personal experience, the best way to nurture these qualities is to study and work on problems of increasing -but appropriate- difficulty individually. This helps the students develop a sense and feel for the subject through their own experiences and is a crucial factor in their mathematical success. I also like to stimulate the students' curiosity by asking questions that bring to light the relationship between two concepts or theorems etc.
A typical lesson plan would include a discussion about the problem from the previous meeting, accepting any questions from the student and then moving onto the next item of interest, be it an explanation of a concept or a solution to a problem etc. Finally, I usually propose another problem, if the student's attempts at the previous problem have proven successful and fruitful. If not, I give them 1 hint.
I believe I have very good communication skills and because of personal experience, I can usually always deduce what a student struggles with and help them or clarify a misconception.
The lessons are mainly aimed at middle-school, high-school and university students that need assistance with mathematics. I also welcome anyone who is willing to learn about olympiad mathematics.
