About Ella
I’m a friendly, straight-talking tutor for GCSE English Literature, English Language and History who genuinely loves a good argument, a powerful quote and a well-structured essay. These subjects shaped the way I think, and they later led me into a successful career in marketing, where storytelling, persuasion and sharp analysis are part of my everyday work. I’m big on building confidence and cutting through the waffle. I’ll show you how to structure essays clearly, analyse without overcomplicating things and walk into exams feeling calm and prepared. My goal is simple: strong grades, real understanding and that “wait… this actually makes sense” moment.

My lessons are focused on identifying your strengths and weaknesses, where we can play on what you are already good at whilst simultaneously improving areas of struggle! With some initial activities for me to gauge your best and worst areas, tutoring sessions would then be completely tailored to (and led by) you. I aim to create a safe learning environment, where questions are actively encouraged alongside confidence in what you can do!
