About Sri Parnika
Hi, I’m Sri Parnika, a Grade 11 STEM student with a strong interest in math, science, and helping younger students feel more confident in school. As a current student, I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic does not make sense right away, which is why I focus on creating a patient, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment.
I take my tutoring seriously and always aim to be prepared, organized, and reliable. I explain concepts clearly, adapt my teaching style to each student, and make sure they feel comfortable asking questions without feeling judged. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them become more independent and confident learners.
I am especially comfortable working with elementary and junior high students who need extra help with math and science, whether that is homework support, test preparation, reviewing difficult concepts, or strengthening their overall understanding. I believe every student can improve with the right explanation, practice, and encouragement.

My approach as a tutor is to make math and science feel less overwhelming by breaking difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. I focus on understanding how each student learns best and adjust my explanations based on their needs. I use examples, visuals, practice questions, and step-by-step problem solving to make sure students understand the concept instead of just memorizing an answer.
A typical lesson would begin with a quick review of what the student is currently learning in school and any areas they are struggling with. I would then explain the topic in a clear and simple way, work through a few examples together, and give the student practice questions to complete independently. At the end of the lesson, I would review any mistakes, answer questions, and make sure they feel more confident before moving on.
What sets me apart is that I am currently a Grade 11 STEM student, so I understand what it is like to learn these subjects in school and how confusing certain topics can feel at first. I try to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students do not feel embarrassed to ask questions or make mistakes. I am patient, encouraging, and willing to explain a concept in different ways until it makes sense.
My lessons are best suited for elementary and junior high students who need extra support in math or science, want help with homework, need to prepare for tests, or simply want to strengthen their understanding and confidence in these subjects.
