About Jeremy
As an educator, I am in the business of teaching people. I believe that it is my responsibility to provide space that
is open, welcoming, and inclusive to all students so they may learn and grow. As an elementary school educator, I
have employed various classroom management techniques that have provided students the space to develop
their own ideas and allow for positive learning experiences. In the earlier stages, the scaffolding for lessons is
more comprehensive for greater learning of the basic skills necessary for development of sound. By the time the
end of year concert comes, the students know their scales, rhythms, and music theory sufficient to play multiple
leveled pieces as well as developed camaraderie with other members of the band.

I teach beginning to college level lessons for woodwind instruments, beginning brass and piano. Students will learn the basic fundamentals of playing a woodwind instrument, including proper posture, embouchure, and initial sound production. A typical lesson includes warm up, tips and tricks on producing great sound, and working on appropriate repertoire. I bring along instruments to model proper playing technique for excellent skill growth.
