About Michelle
I’ve been a biology teacher for four years and taught chemistry this past year at a specialized high school in NYC. My undergraduate degree was in Biological Sciences, so I have had a passion for science for a long time and I was inspired by the teachers that I had in school. My goal is to be that inspiration for other students. People fear what they don’t know, and science tends to be a subject that feels unapproachable and too complicated but I promise it’s not! To be a teacher is to be a translator, and I have had a lot of success in my job not only with teaching the subject but also with developing trusting relationships with students. I’ve had kids tell me that they hated science before they had me as their teacher, and now they’re considering careers in different scientific fields. I’ll take time to learn what approach works best for you and curate my lessons to fit your learning needs. You have the potential, I’m just here to help guide you to it!
