About Emma
I am an experienced teacher and have taught Art and Design in several secondary schools in Ireland. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of my subject with learners.
I am very passionate about art and I am continuously learning and adding to my knowledge through my own practice, exhibition visits and research .
I value an engaging, comfortable and fun environment when teaching, and my goal is for my students to be inspired and enjoy their learning process!
I have a Fine Art and Education degree from the National College of Art and Design and have exhibited my work on Ireland, the UK and internationally. Painting and print are my specialities, however I am confident in teaching across medias including: Digital Art, Drawing, Book Making and Design.

I offer 1-hour lessons tailored for senior-level secondary students or those taking a gap year to prepare portfolios. My teaching focuses on building technical skills and creativity. I provide personalised resources, handouts, lessons will consist of a combination of discussion and practical instruction.
With experience teaching art in primary and secondary schools, my qualifications include a degree from the National College of Art and Design. I understand the portfolio entry process and have had my work exhibited locally and abroad, recognised with awards for proficiency in fine art.
Whether you are looking to improve your skills or preparing your work for an application to art school, I will be able to support you through concise and achievable step-by-step instruction, and enjoying the process in the meantime!
