About Yen
I have many years of experience tutoring students of all ages, from primary school age through to high school and undergraduate students. I've tutored students in-person as well as online, in a variety of subjects, particularly: essay-writing, the SAT test, English language and literature, exam skills, and American college admissions. The bulk of my experience has been tutoring students in the United States, both native and second language English speakers, and students in Hong Kong looking to apply to American universities.
Learning is one of my great passions, and it's a joy to me when I am able to share and facilitate that experience for others. Beyond just teaching the necessary skills or information, it's my goal as a tutor to foster genuine intellectual curiosity and excitement that will continue beyond our sessions together.
In my life outside of tutoring, I enjoy the arts of all kinds: theatre, film, and literature, especially.
