About RAHMA
I have been a tutor for various subjects for the past four years, such as reading and writing comprehension, history and social studies, mathematics, and, now, biology. I have been blessed to work with NYC DoE teachers and professionals in helping students prepare for standardized testing as well as building their confidence in core subjects. I am very excited to be working with prospective students on a topic that I am very passionate about, and which I hope they will become confident about as well: Biology & Anatomy.

I consider knowledge to be very cumulative, especially when it comes to sciences. I have also found that connecting my lessons to real world applications is almost always the most effective way to not only engage students' interest but to cement that knowledge in their memory, as well. I approach each topic by first getting a sense of what the student already knows, as this allows us to be efficient and boost students' confidence. After all, I believe that knowing what you know, and knowing what you don't know is the first crucial step in obtaining a meaningful education.

Details
Depending on the student's distance, I may require certain lessons to be done remotely.
In the case of cancellations, I do require at least 24hrs notice, except in the case of emergencies. After the first violation of this policy, I may enforce a $5.00 fee for late cancellations.
