About Samantha
I live in Philadelphia with my cat, Jackson. I have taught here and in Washington, DC and have a Master’s degree in Special Education. I have experience teaching students with a variety of learning needs, and since I’ve been a teacher for so long, I am confident in many of my approaches to education, but I am also a lifelong learner who will always adjust my instructive techniques to fit each student I am working with and make them feel as comfortable as possible. I really enjoy the interactions I get to have with students and am an open-minded communicator. I am now an administrator, so I miss the day-to-day fun that I got to have with students!

I am an experienced teacher (math and English) but I believe the best part is getting to know students so that we can form a trusting relationship and I can tailor my instruction to not only their needs but also their interests. I also am skilled at coming up with creative ways to teach a variety of difficult concepts. Learning doesn’t have to be complicated!
