About Emily
I'm a D3 college track athlete, and in my free time, I love reading, hiking, and watching movies with my friends! I come from rural Maine but love traveling. In high school, I also played Soccer, Basketball, and Softball. I love sports!
I understand what it's like to have a schedule that goes one million miles per hour; that's why I really want to help academics, athletics, and career goals feel as manageable as possible for others. I am a great listener, and a go-getter! I can't wait to work with you.

I like to start my lessons with a brain dump:

I have other questions, but these are the main 3! These help our brains to step back, relax, identify obstacles, and then get ready to focus and learn!
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I believe in connection before content. I want to connect with you and learn what interests you so we can apply it to your learning/assignments. That will make it more fun and help you build momentum and intrinsic motivation to learn.
My teaching techniques are flexible; we can find a way that works best for you. As for who these lessons are for, I'm open to working with anyone from middle school up through college.
