Talking about experiences, I have taken various sessions, personal classes and group classes for portraits sketching and watercolor portraits/paintings. Along with I personally believe in consistent practice.

My methodology says, basics and foundation techniques are more important to learn. So in the first stage we are going to deal with the basic level of drawing, outlines, and key factors which we are going to deal with in the future experiment sessions. After dealing with basics, we are going to learn about the highlights and shadow using water color and how layering our painting helps us to give more realistic look. And at the last stage we will going with different assignments and task for improvement and experimenting with shades. So I guess, now you will get a basic idea of how the sessions are going to be. And I believe in learning with fun so don't worry about getting bore.
