About Lucas
I have experience tutoring other math students at UWaterloo, at the Math Tutoring Center run by the Faculty of Mathematics, where I tutored first-year students with algebra, calculus, and linear algebra. I also have private tutoring experience tutoring Arts and Science students at UWaterloo in their required math courses. As such, I will be able to tutor for any high school or college level math you might need help with.
A little bit about me, I'm from Thunder Bay, Ontario, and in my free time I like to listen to music, play music (I play saxophone, flute, and piano), play board games, and do outdoor activities as well. When I tutor, I like to use active questioning, in order to determine what the student knows, and where any gaps in understanding are. I believe that the tutoring approach in any given session should always be guided by the student's responses. I always like to connect any new learning back to what the student understands well.

Hello! I'm Lucas, a recently graduated Pure Math student from the University of Waterloo, I'm offering online math tutoring for high school and college students!
I offer online tutoring sessions tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. Whether you're looking for help with algebra, geometry, calculus, or any other math subject, I'm here to help. I strive to meet each student where they are, and identify knowledge gaps in order to solidify understanding. I also value building connections between concepts, allowing students to use what they already know to better understand less familiar concepts.
I charge $40 per hour for my tutoring services, and strive to give the highest-quality instruction. I aim to help students not only improve their grades but deepen their understanding of and appreciation for mathematical concepts.
