My teaching approach encourages the student to come up with their own solutions to the academic problems they face. It focusses on developing the student's critical thinking skills and preparing them to excel independently as they progress with their education.

I have 2 years experience teaching English in Japan as part of the JET Programme, where I was based at the prestigious Nishi Senior High School in Tokyo. I taught students aged 16-18.
2016-2018: Researcher for the Welsh Conservative Group in the Welsh Assembly, Cardiff
Took lead on the Education, Environment, and Rural Affairs portfolios for the Welsh Conservative Group. Led policy development within each portfolio and worked to align policy with stakeholder interests.
2014- 2016: Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme
Contracted by the Japanese Government to teach at Nishi, one of Japan's most prestigious state schools. Worked with teachers at Nishi to redesign their English course to include modern teaching theory. Taught and designed classes for students aged 16-18. Prepared students for applications to American universities.

Produced a 12,000 word thesis, requiring independent research on the British Empire and an in-depth analysis of primary sources.
