About Jasmine
I am currently a Physiotherapist Assistant/Kinesiologist, with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from McMaster University. My academic courses have ranged from medicine/healthcare, basic physics and chemistry, anatomy & physiology, psychology & neuroscience, and even evolution and environmental studies. I have also participated in various extracurricular activities including being an executive member for my university's Students Advancing Brain Cancer Research club, a general member for both the Alzheimer's and Cancer Society, as well as a Review Editor for the university's Journal of Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior.

Some of my teaching methods include but are not limited to: visualization strategies (e.g. PowerPoint, Audio clips and videos, and identification activities with pictures), asking thought-provoking questions, worksheets that range in complexity and fun activities such as trivia games. However, it is a priority for me as a tutor, is that not only are the students enjoying themselves, but that they also understand the context. As such, my methodology is student-oriented. I like to also frequently ask whether they feel comfortable with the material - especially with a group class where it can be intimidating for a student to feel behind in comparison to others. In which case, I would create an opportunity where they can anonymously/privately ask me questions in order to avoid discouragement while allowing me to address their questions and concerns on the lesson(s).
