About Conor

With a First-Class BA (Hons) in History and experience as a museum director, I bring both academic depth and real-world context to my teaching. I love showing students how history is a living subject — full of stories, debates, and discoveries that still shape our present. I teach to spark curiosity and to help learners develop the critical thinking skills that history so beautifully cultivates.

About the lesson

Warm & Supportive Style (ideal for parents or younger students) My tutoring style is calm, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s pace. I focus on building confidence as well as skill, creating a space where it’s safe to ask questions and make mistakes. Each session blends structure with curiosity — helping students not just learn the material, but truly understand it. ⸻ Focused & Results-Driven Style (for exam prep or older students) My tutoring style is clear, structured, and goal-oriented. I break complex topics into manageable steps and use proven techniques to boost understanding and memory. Sessions are focused yet friendly, with regular feedback to track progress and keep motivation high. ⸻ Interactive & Growth-Based Style (balanced tone for all ages) My tutoring style is interactive and supportive — I meet students where they are and help them grow from there. I combine practical strategies with reflective discussion so students develop independent thinking as well as academic skill. Learning becomes a conversation, not a lecture.
