About Daisey
I’ve worked in the medical field for over 38 years. I started working as an EMT - Emergency Medical Technician in Oakland California where I had to treat and transport patients with non emergency medical issues and traumatic injuries to the emergency room. After working in the Bay Area for almost 3 years I worked as an emergency dispatcher for 5 years for the same company.After that I applied to work for the California Highway Patrol and worked for newly 9 years as a -911 Public Safety dispatcher. I developed carpal tunnel syndrome because of the repetitive trauma on my wrists and went back to school to become a medical assistant. I worked for Kaiser for 5 years and soon found a calling to be at teacher. Now I am a medical assistant instructor and have been training medical assistants for close to 14 years.
