I am currently studying medical sciences and looking to tutor Mathematics from primary school level to a high school level (including A levels). Lessons are fairly flexible as to how they take place. However, in general I work through papers or worksheets with the student with them explaining and giving reasons for the actions performed. If clarification or alternative methods are needed, it will be taught and problem areas identified. I tutor using positive reinforcement and am always willing to re-explain and try alternative explanations or methods.
I have been tutoring in person for about 2 years. I have taught 7 students one-on-one and a few classes at a golf academy of around 10 students. The results my students achieved included around a 10% or more increase in marks but most importantly a higher confidence in their abilities which allowed them to achieve their potential. My practical experience includes completing high school mathematics and advance programme mathematics.
I teach Mathematics from primary school up until A level. Teaching techniques and methods include going through past papers, previous worksheets or tests and practice worksheets to help with identifying problem areas to work on with the student. A mix of independent work and assisting where necessary while ensuring active revision and most productive use of the student's time is being had.
