I've always struggled with the pressure of exams, and so I can completely empathise with those who feel the same! I can also appreciate the time-consuming ordeal as you prepare to hand in coursework, or take part in a controlled assessment. Each student is different, and I'm here to give help as it's needed!
I like to start with a short introductory session with the student. It's really important to build a rapport in order to learn effectively, and so I take a friendly approach to learning. Although I think it's fundamental to have a good relationship with the student, I also ensure progress by working toward a specific goal. This will, of course, be different for each student.

I volunteered in Durban, South Africa for two weeks in September 2017 with the COPT organisation. I worked in local townships, leading English and Maths lessons in local schools, as well as helping with basic maintenance tasks. The two weeks in South Africa was an incredible experience, and I developed interpersonal and communicational skills.
