About Carlyn
I have a background in customer service, creative editing and CV writing.I tripled majored in English, Psychology and Philosophy and minored in theatre. I am a frequent reader with a passion for literature, grammar and poetic analysis. I love kids and would love to pass on my enthusiasm for language and literature. This is the perfect job for me because I am inquisitive and love to work closely with students to help them understand the value in conquering the literature and critical analysis. My background in customer service has taught me patience and has strengthened me. My experience in Creative editing helped to delevop my confidence in creative writing.

Firstly, to gauge where the student is at in their studies and identify what they've struggled with most important and why they've struggled with it. When we know the answers to these questions we can help alter how they approach and perceive the subject. I think it's important to note that everyone learns at their own pace and lessons need to be tailored to what the student can relate to in order to help them engage with the subject more positively and willingly. In addition, I find it's important to get to know your student through observation and open discussion in order to identify their strengths. That way one can use that to develop a strategy that will bring out the best in their work ethic. In addition, it is vital to note their weaknesses for the same reason. Once you identify their strengths and weaknesses you can devise a plan on how to work with the aspects they struggle with and use the aspects they excel at to drive an enthusiasm to engage with the work.
Lesson plans can then be uniquely tailored to bring out the best in the student.
