I approach my teaching through using the most effective learning techniques that I have spent years learning about (allowing myself to achieve 80% at University so far) and combine this with fun and passion for the topic. I am very patient and have worked with children as a Cabin Leader on a kids camp in America for 3 months.
I teach online to students in flexible sessions and provide assistance outside of scheduled lessons - every study session is tailored to fit the student and provide an ultimate learning experience that maximizes learning to help fulfill potential and suit the needs of the individual.
I would like to see where any gaps lie in the curriculum and work from there. Parental involvement is welcome.
My teaching method is altered to each student, I find their strengths & weaknesses and most importantly finding how they learn the best using flash cards, books, videos & games. I also like to set challenges and make sure we discuss my feedback for them.
With over 5 years experience teaching in primary school I understand the challenges and stress that can arise in preparation for the 11 plus and SATS. I give clear instructions and break down the content of what needs to be done so that children feel confident and stress free entering these exams.
I teach using group discussion that way I will be learning about the children's individual way of learning. Also, by using pictures to describe what is going on. I am friendly and very encouraging. I want to achieve the best results possible.
My teaching methods are based on a humanistic approach and about the well being of the student as a whole which can impact on the learning process and future success. It is not so much what we know but about how we use knowledge and our thinking behind it.
My teaching method is one-on-one as each student has different learning style and pace. I structure all my lessons specifically for each student. I aim to meet each student's expectations. This I do by looking at previous academic reports, asking the student what they want to achieve and also by assessing them myself.
I give lessons to young children, my teaching methods are simple. I break down the content so it is easier to understand. I am very patient and help students are find the topics harder to comprehend. I base my lessons on how the children will usually learn at school. I start easy then develop over time. I am friendly and approachable so the students can feel confident when asking me questions.
My teaching method is to engage everyone through creativity, unique perspectives or artistic ability as I find this is a very successful way to help absolutely everyone to succeed.
My name is Chloe and I teach a range of age groups and subject areas. If you need help with test preparation for 11+ or GCSEs, are struggling to write a CV/covering letter, need someone to proof read your essay or dissertation at Universitu level- I can be of assistance! I have obtained a 2:1 degree in English and drama and have an A* GCSE for English.
Teaching and learning has to be fun and engaging. If learning is not fun and engaging, no learning will take place! We are lucky that we live in a 21st century where technology can be used as a teaching aid, and in my opinion this is crucial for effective learning.
I'm currently studying for my GCSE's, I have take the 11+ tests and passed with no age points. Can tutor Maths, English etc to level 6a, Please let me know if you would like tutoring for your son or daughter.
I adjust my tutoring methods after getting to know the student and how they learn best. Keeping it fun and interesting along the way. I'm down-to-earth and light-hearted but with effective teaching methods. Recently graduated with a 1st. Teaching all ages from 11+ through to undergraduate tutoring.
I work closely with my students to improve their confidence and knowledge of the syllabus. However, I focus primarily on exam technique and doing lots of written practice. Students often come to me with a good base level of knowledge from their lessons at school, but struggle to apply it to exam scenarios. I ask my students to complete a weekly assignment so I can monitor their progress closely.
My teaching method is to focus on one maths subject for as long as i feel until your child is ready to move on. Each child learns at their own speed so they shouldn't be rushed into something when they are struggling with the previous topic.
I am a very competent tutor, and have achieved straight As at both GCSE and A Level. When it comes to teaching lessons, I base my lessons on the individual's needs. I often find it useful for the student to first complete a mini assessment so that I can be aware of the topics that s/he struggles with.
I offer lessons one to one as well as in group lessons. I have the latest resources and push my student to the best they can. I’ve been tutoring for 3+ years and the majority of my student pass there 11+ and do well in there exams.
I offer one to one focussed, personalised tuition for children in key stage 1, 2 and 3. My services include: Exam preparation, extra help in English and Maths and confidence building. I pride myself in helping children build skills and develop a resilient attitude to learning. Your child will be assessed and provided with a personalised learning plan.
My teaching method is based on learning through activity and having the right learning environment. Learning through games/play has been the most successful method, especially with the early years.
I am a graduate and parent of two with a passion for learning, teaching and building confidence in others. I adapt all my lessons to each student’s need and am happy to go at the pace of the individual student. I have experience of preparation for the 11+ and SATS exams. I have worked with students who lack confidence or have anxiety.
I give lessons to students preparing for their 11+, GCSE or IB exams. My technique is to cater each lesson to syllabus points to ensure that every possible exam question has been covered confidently. Each student learns differently, so if I notice that a student isn't thriving under my teaching method, I will adapt it.
I'm a very friendly person who's aware that everyone learns differently so my tutoring style can be adapted to suit each individual's needs. These styles include quick fire tests, assessment through games, use of multi media and abstract critical thinking to name a few.
My teaching method is always adapted to the student. I expect students to be attentive and work hard during my lessons but also realise that it is my responsibility to ensure that they are fully engaged with my lessons. I pride myself on my ability to take very complex ideas and simplify them to allow the student to understand.
My teaching method is to look at the areas that my student struggles with and to help them to understand it fully until they feel comfortable with it. Furthermore I like my student to feel relaxed in a calm environment when being tutored as I feel this helps to enhance their learning.
Going through past paper questions I tend to find is the best way to teach.
