My teaching approach is purely based in the student. I employ both academic and practical tasks to allow each student to reach their goals. Each student learns differently and as such we explore all areas and methods of learning. We will discuss this in our first session.
My teaching method includes storytelling as I start by discusing the background of the topic and go stepwise turing apparently boring biology concepts into interesting stories.
My teaching philosophy is based on making connections between new concepts and prior knowledge and experience to engage the learner and start from a solid foundation of understanding. By connecting new and old information, it is possible to gain a deeper understanding of novel concepts and allows for lateral and critical thinking to develop.
During our first lesson we would discuss the weakest and strongest areas. What topic are you most confident in? Which topics do you often feel weary about? What style of teaching do you prefer (Visual, Auditory or Kinesthetic)? By doing so I am able to establish exercises that would focus on topics needing more work with the correct learning strategy for you.
I can teach maths ranging from primary school level to higher level. I believe that success with maths relies on having confidence with the various smaller tools that fit together to solve a bigger problem.
I like to be flexible when teaching and tailor each lesson around what the drummer would like to learn and focus on as well as what their weaknesses and strengths are. I can start from a basic 4/4 beat through to advanced fills depending on the requirements of the drummer. My emphasis towards the drummer is always solid, rock hard, tight drumming.
My teaching methodology is to approach each topic in the most beneficial way for each student. No two students' learning styles are the same and I think it is important to recognise this and adapt my teaching style accordingly. My aim is always to get the most from each student and allow them to achieve their full potential.
I give lessons to GCSE and A Level students studying for qualifications in English Language and English Literature. I am known for my relaxed yet attentive teaching style, and I understand the importance of creating a safe and open environment with the student in order that academic success can be comfortably attained.
Learn Guitar and Play YOUR Favourite Music Lessons are built around each student’s individual requirements and needs. Alan designs the guitar sessions and supporting materials around artists, songs and music selected by the student. This builds confidence and understanding and tends to be a more enjoyable way to learn.
Hello, I’m a French Aupair based around Edinburgh, I’m hoping to teach French at a high school or college level in the future. I have helped a few students with learning the French language for a few years now, mostly helping with homework and assisting with a school project providing a deeper understanding of the language.
I base my classes on annotated diagrams, infograms, and pictures. When an idea can be visualised I believe it is easier to understand, remember and re-teach. I am an understanding individual, a patient tutor/teacher with time for every - body.
Even the most difficult parts of the theory and the practice, become really easy and interesting through a teaching procedure that makes the students feel comfort and give them the opportunity to discover the interesting and beautiful side of Mathematics.
I can work with you to find what works for you. I am flexible depending on your learning style. Repetition, explanation, mind mapping, post-it note, brainstorming, answer mock questions etc. I like to work with you to find the best tool to help you learn.
I am a lateral thinker focussed not only on great results but in engendering a fascination and understanding of literature's connection to wider culture. I strive to connect the students' interests with the material they encounter, in order to foster deep and long-lasting connections.
I'm an experienced print/online/broadcast journalist and abookworm with background in English. I hold an MA in English Literature and language, where my final assignment was a Creative Writing one, and another MA in Journalism and Mass Communcation. I now freelance as a journalist, travel writer, translator, web content editor and social media manager and have self-published a travel book.
I am interested in the research on how we learn best and so can help you not to waste time on fruitless cramming. I also believe that it is important to be able to explain concepts in different ways, as all students are individuals. I'm approachable and patient.
I teach private lessons or group lessons in a school. I teach from the basic foundation and do not assume that my students have an already prior knowledge. I also use mnemonics to ensure that the student does not forget what he has learned for a long time. I had produced the best maths result of an exam class in a certain school using this technique.
I use multiple methods...I.e, Lectures, presentations, quiz, group discussion, homework, assignments ,readings and most importantly enhancing self confidence through vigorous participation.
I gives lessons to students willing to work hard and achieve their full potential. I help them to excel in qualifications up to and including Advanced Higher's. I start with an initial session to get to know the student and their individual needs, and then build a structured set of lessons around them. Lessons can be as long or as short as required.
Learning is fun! ... but can be really hard! Available for online and/or home tutoring, we will tackle scientific challenges, finding a way that works best for you. Ultimately, you'll be able to confidently explain the basic concepts and you'll begin questioning this fascinating subject. From Year 7 - MSc/MRes level I can provide individual or small group lessons.
uition is one-to-one and given online or in person in the tutees own home. I ask all tutees to aim high and consider obtaining an A grade. My method is: *at all levels we will work on a review of previous maths.
I am a professionally qualified teacher, and experienced tutor, offering tuition in mathematics. My method is to instill a positive attitude in my tutees towards their maths studies. This combined with hard work on basics should see them through. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Mathematics to SQA Advanced Higher, plus GCSE Maths and A level. - Tell me about your qualifications.
When I am tutoring I like my pupils to take the lead. I can either be a helping hand for what they are already doing in class or I can refresh their memory on topics they have covered previously and I can show them how a topic looks in an exam situation.
Our teaching methods are based on practice especially. We would like to show people beautiful of our language through czech books, description of pictures, comunication with each other, familiarization with our customs and so on. We want to start with basics phrases and then continue with still harder things. These points will help people comunicate and understand our tongue.
I encourage the student to learn at their own pace as everyone learns different topics at different speeds.
I have a personable approach to teaching which helps my students to feel relaxed during our sessions. I like to challenge students by having them answer their own questions with some prompting and honing their inference skills so they are able to derive answers for themselves.
My teaching methodology changes based upon the student I am tutoring. For example, when helping proof-read essays, I run through the essay with the student and try and get them to interact with their work. With essay writing in its barest form, I try and engage the student with the information before they even put pen to paper.
My teaching method changes from student to student, as each individual has a unique way of learning. For those with an imminent pitch, I focus on confidence and projection. When leading public speaking from the start, I dissect the speech with the student, also ensuring they are prepared to answer questions.
My teaching methodology is almost entirely based upon the individual student. If there is a student who benefits from mini tests and constant revision, then I will adapt my teaching style to suit this. If, however, I feel a student needs more interaction with the area, I will amend my methodology to suit them.
I based my classes on each individual child. Some children learn best by rote and mini-tests, whereas others absorb information better through interactive activities. I change my teaching method based on each child to allow them to get the most out of my tutoring.
