Asides from my own academic success as you will see below, I have been tutoring now for over 3 years whilst in school doing IB and as a medical student at Imperial College London. I Think one of my main advantages is that I am young, so students often find it easier to engage with me, hence listening and learning better with me.
A strict teaching methodology is not always good to use for everyone because different students learn in different ways. After a basic lesson with the student to understand what level they are at, I can compose together a teaching method for the effective learning of each student.
Tailor lessons as per your needs. Explaining processes and concepts in a concise and clear way, with the incorporation of diagrams and questions to test progress. Assessment planning, prepare sessions, resources, collect, marking, judge/record evidence against standards, feedback, organise folder, E Track Student: progress tracker, meet deadlines, set targets, time management and relationships.
I am a medical student who is loving, caring and very helpful I am always willing to help others. I always give my 100% in all my work and duties.
I break down each topic into small, manageable segments and make my own resources for the pupil to easily learn these. I find that as a young tutor pupils relate more to my teaching style and I understand how to engage them. Hence I keep my teaching very interactive, with the primary focus of maximising examination grades.
Hi, I'm a university student studying radiography and currently just passed into my second year. Being in education myself means the I'm aware of the range of studying techniques adopted by pupils and am more than happy to suit their personal needs. I believe that starting from a solid foundation of basic knowledge and then building upwards will prove effective when trying to learn anything.
My teaching method is based around adapting the lessons to what suits the student best. This could be visual aids or essays etc. Practice questions are key to helping the student reinforce their knowledge and prepare themselves for their upcoming exams.
I will give lessons to anyone studying biology up to and including A-level standard. Students of all abilities are welcomed. Teaching will initially require the student to inform me of areas within the subject they particularly struggle with so I can prepare appropriate lessons. I am a calm and understanding tutor with experience tutoring in the past.
I approach each topic based on the students preferred method of learning. Some students prefer more practical examples while others want to follow a set curriculum and I offer both. I prefer to plan my lessons ahead of time so if the student and I could discuss each preceding lesson before-hand that would be great.
I am a University undergraduate studying Sport, Physical Education and Coaching Sciences. I am happy to tutor students who are willing to learn and develop their knowledge and understanding of Physical Education and Biology. I will guide students towards this learning.
I am a 1st Year Undergraduate Biochemistry student. I can tutor mainly in Science and Maths until GCSE. I can also tutor History and English until Year 10 and can help with UCAS applications. To teach effectively, I will listen to how a student believes they learn best and use different techniques to find the best approach.
I can teach in a number of methods and all depends on the learning style of the student. This can be via presentations, books, images, spider diagrams or a combination of methods. In order to be obtain a positive outcome both the tutor and the student need to put an effort.
I have an interactive teaching style to engage all types of learners, I believe in bringing the school curriculum to life with innovative teaching methods, to make lessons memorable and informative. I would be open to suggestions from the student as to their preferred learning style and be prepared to adapt my lessons accordingly.
My methodology would vary depending on the aims of the student , we'd spend some time helping to reflect on strong and weak areas of knowledge before discussing what type of learning suits you since we are all individuals. Based on this we could go on to do past papers and writing our own revision questions.
I took Maths, Chemistry and Biology up til A level. I am now a third year medical student at the University of Birmingham looking to Tutor GCSE, As or A level students. I believe in tailoring teaching methods to the individual.
I am a medical student at the University of Birmingham, and have been a consistent high achiever. I studied at Kendrick School, and left with 3A*s at A Level. Having passed my first year with flying colours, I was particularly lauded for my presentation skills.
I believe that everyone learns differently so I am always open to teaching in different styles to help pupils learn effectively. I specialise in teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level. I also deliver BTEC Level 3 Science. I often deliver content and then assess learning through exam practice or by pupils teaching back learnt content to me.
My lesson structures are by topic each week. There is a set of key information and after working through the basics we look at how this links in with the rest of the topic because the foundations are key. I believe that past questions are essential for the sciences and therefore I like to finish off each session by applying the content to specific questions.
I believe that if you enjoy your lessons, you'll learn more! I aim to make my teaching accessible and fun. We all have different learning styles, so I will adapt my teaching to what works best for the individual student.
My teaching method varies from student to student. Firstly I believe a sound knowledge of the subject should be attained which includes knowing the basics of each topic within the subject. After acquiring such knowledge I believe in building on these foundations so that each student reaches above and beyond their full potential.
My teaching methodology is that everyone should be smart about their learning as different methods work for better for different people. As a tutor, I will individualise my tutoring to how you best learn and help you find ways which work for you to retain knowledge. Furthermore, I understand that exam technique is important and I will make sure I stick to your syllabus.
I am easygoing, friendly and reliable; characteristics I deem important when seeking a tutor. From my own personal experience, as a student, you go through difficult situations where you may feel overwhelmed by your workload or just confused with what is being taught, and it is vital to have someone who is adequately supporting you and helping you reach your potential.
There are several components of a curriculum, e.g., the contents, methods, tools, and the process of the teaching. The curriculum itself is developed following its educational goal in respect of the stakeholders, environment, and the education program.
I love teaching and especially making a difference which I have done numerous times. I care about how people learn and have a particular focus on teaching in a way that is best for each individual. As we all learn differently and so I have a specific focus on making the learning relevant to each student.
I am better to give lessons one-on-one or to a small group, I find it's much easier this way to really understand a topic. I think that many topics within Biology, Chemistry and Maths are difficult, and I'm willing to work out different ways to teach them, based on different learning styles.
I like to base my teaching from what the other person knows. Know what they know and use that to build up their knowledge to what you want them to know.
I am a recent Medical Biochemistry (2.1) graduate that has a fair bit of experience teaching Maths to students up to GCSE in the past. However, given the nature of my degree, I am also very comfortable teaching Biology and Chemistry to students up to and including A-level status.
As a Science teacher and head of department for 15 years I am a biology specialist teacher. From 11+ training in all subjects to undergraduate degree level in Biology. Gifted and Talented expert. SEN training and EAL experience. Can tutor by Skype it locally to Coventry, Solihull, Rugby.
As a dentist one of my "specialist" teaching areas was biomedical sciences for dental therapists/hygienists - including cell biology and physiology, as part of their first year. Much of the teaching in dentistry is 1-to-1. My experience tells me that the best way for a student to learn something permanently is the "lightbulb" experience: making connections for him/herself.
