My approach to teaching is keeping the things too easy. A student feels a particular subject is too hard when he has build a mindset like maths, thermodynamics, blah blah is too difficult. When he thinks it is a cup of tea for him, it actually becomes the cup of tea.
I have the potential to teach students till their A level. I base my teaching upon the syllabus of the student and set up a goal. I do not stress the student, but rather make them work in a way they'll enjoy the teaching as well as they will learn.
In my lessons I like to focus on one topic per lesson. The structure is learning the topic in stages and practising after each stage to ensure understanding. If there are any issues then the area of difficulty and be focused on more.
I believe it's extremely important to build your knowledge from the very basics of what it is that you're learning. During the very first lessons id teach students the fundamentals of their chosen subjects and ensure to give them a solid foundation of knowledge on which they can build on as they proceed through there course.
