Knowing the subject is half the battle - if you can't apply it, the knowledge is useless. I am calm and approachable and I try to make the science relatable. I can teach KS3 and KS4. I will show you past exam papers as well as their mark schemes and exam reports, so that you can gain a true insight into what the examiners truly want from you.
Through my A-levels, i found the ability to recall information to be detrimental to most student. I believe encouraging students practice recalling information, and learning methods to best tackle exam questions. I like using visual ques to aid learning as well.
I am a strong believer in active recall. For example if you are struggling with mental maths; I will do a mental maths paper each week with you and soon enough your weakness will become your strength. My teaching techniques are adaptable depending on the student, however the foundation is making my teaching both enjoyable and informative.
My method is to listen to the student to understand where they are getting things wrong and to tackle the root cause to make sure the student understands better. I am able to simplify the work into relate-able scenarios for students to understand better.
I will do an assessment centre as a way of diagnosing problem area and I will adapt my teaching when I know the required learning needs. I follow time constraints and my students success is my motivation so I will create personalise learning plans for each student.
Everyone's way of learning if different which I am very aware of. I firstly assess what the hurdle is, then try to explain simply with analogies. Once something is clearer, I'll get the student to apply this to different questions or scenarios, or have them explain it back to me in their own word/terms.
I will tailor my lessons to suit the needs, strengths and weaknesses of my students. I feel it is particularly important to provide real life uses for the concepts we cover where possible. Always sessions will include exam style questions but I always hope to foster a love of the subject as well as academic success.
I approach each topic with a target list that is individually adapted to each student with various potential outcomes. I strive to help come up with a personal plan for each student.
I am a college student who tutors in a secondary school and provide intervention to KS3 and KS4 students. I assess my students to gain an understanding of their level. I use key point indicators and test results to support my lesson plans. I source appropriate resources and teach both group and one-to-one, leading from the front.
My teaching method consists of locating the areas that my students struggle with and focusing on those initially before reviewing the subject as a whole. I intend to begin by reviewing and explaining any theory the student doesn't understand and then continue by going over questions from past papers and textbooks with the student together before they attempt more questions themselves.
I can teach online or can even provide classroom classes at student's place or my place.

Hello! My name is Ross and I'm a final year medical student at Imperial College London. I have been tutoring for the last 9 years.
I aim to open a student's mind to different ways of learning, use of memory, logic and critical thinking skills. I am determined, hardworking and positive and don't believe learning should be just work. I aim to make the lessons interactive, fun and informal.
I feel confident in my knowledge to teach those at GCSE and A'level. I am someone who when I was in sixth form benefitted from a tutor. The way I like to learn would be the way I'd prefer to teach. I will go over the topic that student is struggling with or needs to learn and at the end of each topic work through some exam style questions.
I am organised, patient and very approachable. Being a similar age to students means I can identify with them and be more understanding. I provide the first lesson for free, so you can have a feel for how I teach before committing to anything.
I try to understand what the student wants, I push the students hard and I am responsible for their homework so they can contact me at any time free of charge. I provide them with good motivation and most importantly fun during the study phase.
I am comfortable teaching Chemistry up to a 1st-year undergraduate standard. I also have A2 level Biology and Maths so I am comfortable teaching up to that standard as well. I can also teach French up to a GCSE standard. I believe that in each of these areas, practice and application of knowledge is the surest way to gain a true understanding.
I am a current second year University student studying Biomedical science more than happy to teach chemistry to GCSE/ A Level students hoping to better the students overall confidence and improve the students understanding on the topic for them to excel to the best of their capabilities.
I'm a final year undergraduate with a years experience working on the research & development of polymer beads used in the treatment of liver cancer. Expected first class honours degree in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences. I build lessons around what the student wants to learn (or particularly struggles with).
My lessons are tailored to suit each and every student dependent of their age, level and capabilities. I plan and organise lessons according to time and technique. I am able to tutor different ages, and exam boards. I systematically work with the child to achieve their goals and target, whilst following the national curriculum.
I meet the student or group before lessons to understand what is needed. In class I explain the material and ask questions of the students to ensure comprehension and go through problems together. I leave students with questions to answer.
I am so enthusiastic about science, how it gives us knowledge, understanding, excitement of and even awe about our world - it's amazing! And I love supporting students gain and use knowledge and understanding so they reach their goals.
I like to determine the needs of my students before making a lesson plan. However, I believe understanding the basics of chemical structure and electron transfer is primordial to achieving a true understanding of Organic Chemistry. I can offer lessons pertaining to "intro to organic chemistry" or "organic chemistry 101".
Will be teaching following your specific school program in chemistry as I find it will be easier to understand the content going forward rather than choosing myself what you should know. Will prepare beforehand some questions from previous lessons to test your progress (don't worry it won't be recorded anywhere it will just be for me to understand what you need to work on).
I consider myself to be very passionate, taking sciences and maths very seriously, and would put maximum enthusiasm into transferring my knowledge those that require it. Despite this I would be very respectful and not place unwanted expectations or pressure on anyone seeking my help.
