I will tailor my lessons to suit the needs, strengths and weaknesses of my students. I feel it is particularly important to provide real life uses for the concepts we cover where possible. Always sessions will include exam style questions but I always hope to foster a love of the subject as well as academic success.
Knowing the subject is half the battle - if you can't apply it, the knowledge is useless. I am calm and approachable and I try to make the science relatable. I can teach KS3 and KS4. I will show you past exam papers as well as their mark schemes and exam reports, so that you can gain a true insight into what the examiners truly want from you.
My method is to listen to the student to understand where they are getting things wrong and to tackle the root cause to make sure the student understands better. I am able to simplify the work into relate-able scenarios for students to understand better.
Through my A-levels, i found the ability to recall information to be detrimental to most student. I believe encouraging students practice recalling information, and learning methods to best tackle exam questions. I like using visual ques to aid learning as well.

Everyone's way of learning if different which I am very aware of. I firstly assess what the hurdle is, then try to explain simply with analogies. Once something is clearer, I'll get the student to apply this to different questions or scenarios, or have them explain it back to me in their own word/terms.
