Hi! I am currently a first year student at KCL, studying Religion, Politics and Society. I have previously tutored in Maths, English and Scoiology and have a wide range of experience working with pupils of many different ages, in small groups or on an individual basis. Through this, I have also been told that my approach to teaching makes it enjoyable for my students.
I would cater my teaching method to the individual. I have found teaching to be subjective. I utilise psychological tools such as visual aids, memory games etc. But again it is subjective. Dependant on the age and predilections of the student in question, I intend my methods of teaching to stimulate and take a jovial encouraging approach.
I have 6 years of experience teaching, covering a range of year groups, including individual and group work. I offer tuition in a range of subjects and make sure activities are tailored to what each child needs. My approach to individual tuition is clear and easy to understand and it makes learning an exciting and pleasurable experience.
I am a French and English native speaking who is also fluent in German, and study Latin and Ancient Greek at University, and so specialise in language teaching. My teaching method is very interactive, and I often use images and props, which I find particularly effective when teaching languages.
I have worked as a tutor and teacher in several countries. My students get strong results as I tailor bespoke lessons to each individual. I believe in a hands-on approach to develop student understanding of the subject matter and believe that learning should be enjoyable - and can be for everyone - once we have found the right strategies and techniques that work for us.
I have studied both part and full time - so I know what it is like to want to get the best out of your time. I came to studying after working for a while - so I know what is it like to not feel confident about academic activities. I have a great love of history and the Classics which goes back to primary school.
Hi, my name is Justin and I write! I always wanted to be a writer and have written solidly since school though I never did it as a job as I didn't think it was a real job then. I am also dyslexic and dyspraxic, therefore I have chosen a subject that is not easy for me. I am now at University studying Creative and Professional Writing in London. I passed my access course before this.
I am a year 12 A-Level student with 10 GCSEs (7As, 3A*s in all compulsory subjects, including classical civilization, art, history and french) doing History, English Literature, Biology and Religious Studies currently. I am most comfortable teaching English - either language and literature which I have an A* for both in GCSEs.

I have just graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class degree in Classics, and would love to share my passion for my subject through structured one on one tuition with students of all levels. I will happily tutor any subject within Classics (Ancient History, Latin, Ancient Greek or Classical Civilisation) and will tailor my teaching method to suit the personal needs of each student.
I have degrees in Education and sociology and masters degrees in social theory and political theory. I tailor my teaching in accordance with the student's needs and preferences. The students who also have to work prefer their work to be ghostwritten.
I am going to graduate this year after 5 years high school focused on classics (liceo classico) in Italy. During this year I have deapened my knowledge of ancient greek and latin languages and cultures.
I tutor for ages 7-15, for 7+, 11+, scholarship, and GCSE. I know that students don't want a tutor who is a carbon copy of their teachers at school, and so, I bring a different sort of energy for students. I try and make my lessons fun for all my students, and treat each student uniquely, because no one pupil learns the same way.
I am a passionate graduate in Classics and Philosophy willing to share my outstanding knowledge of Ancient Greek, Latin, Philosophy, History and Italian with students of all levels and age. I hold an MA in Philosophy from KCL as well as an MA and a BA in Classics from University of Turin, all gained with top marks.
Hello! I am a third-year MSci Chemistry student who can teach students Latin up to GCSE level. I introduce pupils to the methods that I found valuable in my studies, not only to ensure that they gain a sound understanding but also share my love for the subject with them. Lessons will focus on new grammar, translation skills and critical appreciation of texts as well as revision.
My teaching methods tend to be revolve around discussion and interaction with the student. Emphasis is placed on increasing the student's confidence in analysing, discussing, and spotting key points themselves through structured prompts.
I can teach students either by Skype or in real life. My tutoring style is open and flexible. I always appreciated the ability to ask lots of questions and talk about the bits of things that I didn't understand with teachers and so this is how I will approach tutoring - you can raise any issues, questions or problems and I'll help you with them.
I shape each lesson differently according to what tutees are struggling with and how they learn best, and try to make it enjoyable for tutees as well as useful! I know rote learning of endings can be dull, so I'm always developing new and exciting methods for learning vocab and grammar and developing translation skills.
I can help with Vocab practise and test prep. I will teach you how to structure your essays and help with some of the tough grammar. I am very flexible and happy to work in whatever method is best for you. I can bring my own materials.
As a dyslexic linguist, I am a firm believer that everyone, with the right support and study methodology, can master any subject. I like to use a mixture of drama games, mnemonics as well as patient explanation and exemplar to teach my students. As someone who has dabbled in clowning, improvising and stand up comedy, I also aim to bring fun, enthusiasm and hilarity.
My teaching method involves clear criteria and goals for the lesson which can be monitored through discussion and questions. I can draw the student's attention to different critical and contextual details in order to broaden their analytical approach to literature.
My teaching approach is different the average. I have struggled with concentrating my entire educational career, but have discovered different fun and engaging techniques and tricks to maintain focus and retain material and I would like to teach and share these with my students.
I focus on syllabus and exam technique. My usual method is to set an agreed question from your current syllabus, write it up and send it me for review, assessment, annotation and additional ideas. We meet up, online preferably, and go over the answer together working through point by point. You'll get a copy of my annotations, notes and ideas to take away.
I believe that the best way to improve your Latin and Greek quickly is through thorough knowledge of the grammar and syntax of the languages. I would look to promote this with testing as well as helping a student to spot the patterns which make wrote learning easier.
I have successfully taught Greek and Latin language, literature and civilization at University College London, King’s College London (KCL), and at a secondary school. At KCL (2017-18), I am teaching ancient Greek to undergraduates using Reading Greek.
I am a Classics teacher at an independent school in the London area and am working towards my MA in Classics at UCL. I am driven, curious, and passionate about the subjects I teach. Having spent my teens and early adulthood acquiring proficiency in several languages, I am always eager to impart my particular expertise.
I have been tutoring mostly to teenagers and aim to get them to actively engage in the more exciting sides of the subjects. I will be working with you to encourage your own interpretations of works and justifications, this is to help encourage further development rather than simply spoon-feeding answers.
I believe that immersion in language, a good knowledge of any set text, and the context surrounding are the key to success in this subject. I have worked with young people in the past in educational situations, and now am looking at students between primary education all the way to A-levels who wish to improve the Classics.
I am a 19-year-old Oxford University student available during all university holidays. I am based in Southwest London and can travel up to 45 minutes or teach students from my home.
