My teaching method is exam based.
I normally prefer to use handouts and presentations during my lessons.
I present the area to be covered in the session, the 'Tutee' produces their work and practices their skills, improving their accuracy and increasing speed. I use visual/audio/kinesthetic teaching techniques.
I give lessons to secondary school-aged students, primarily those studying their GCSEs, AS Levels and A Levels. I would also be more than happy to read Personal Statements and / or CVs and Cover Letters from similarly-aged students, and then give detailed feedback on the work.
Whilst teaching English as a foreign language for two years in Shanghai, I learned how to sell my lessons with an enthusiasm and with visual aids that make them fun yet simultaneously challenging. I also learned just how much I loved teaching and, for that reason, I am incredibly eager to get back into it since I've missed it so much.
I am biomedical science undergraduate student. Tutouring secondary school students in English and Biology. In terms of lesson structure I tend to focus on the content and then do exam style questions to solidify learning . It's also based on what you as an individual needs most help with.

I'm happy to help with all manner and levels of music theory/GCSE/A level/IB enquiries, as well as English and general academic writing skills up to A level, and I always treat my students with patience and respect.
I base my classes on the syllabus the student is studying so AQA, Edexcel etc. We practice past papers as well as look at techniques to help them ace their exams. I have a good understanding of books on the syllabus so we select quotations to learn for unseen exams.

Structuring an essay is important and a key skill to master in order to pass an exam and do well in coursework. It comes naturally to some, but is a skill that can easily be taught.
My teaching method is fun first, because if you aren't enjoying a subject then you can't fulfill your potential. I focus on the individuals strengths first, then hone in on certain weaknesses to help the individual excel to new heights. I try to pass on as much knowledge as I can, as I feel it is my responsibility.

Currently, as a researcher of PhD in Education, I am exploring the methods of teaching in Primary Education in the UK. I always find ways to make lessons interesting for students as I plan my lessons in detail using the AFL (assessment for learning) method. I think education should not be a burden on students and it is the teacher’s responsibility to keep students engaged.
- Looking at where the child needs help - Understmading the Child's abilities and using them to build strength within the subject - allowing them to feel comfortable and be able to understand where they need to improve and what to do to help them.
My teaching method is engaging students and sparking a passion within them for English - not only is it necessary and extremely important to employers, but it is also something to be enjoyed and something that can shape you as a person. There is an easy 6 - step method to learning and mastering a subject, which is: to Audit, Understand, Memorise, Organise, Apply and Repeat.
