My methods of teaching Maths mostly involves problem solving and practising a lot of different questions and some homework will have to be done. For every query about any problem, we will cover the theory behind it in order to get a better idea of and understand how mathematics work.
My lessons will be the easiest to understand. I start from the very basics of everything and build all concepts from the ground level. I will not make the students memorize anything and they will be able to solve the entire paper using technique and concepts instead of rote learning formlae.
My teaching method is to use my past experience, relate that to each student, to really help them understand each individual topic. By building on the small basics, and then adding more and more, anything can be achieved, even if it looks daunting at first.
I approach first sessions with an open mind and engage with pupils to discover what they are struggling with and why. I place a huge emphasis on making learning fun and student-focused, and am encouraging and friendly. I strive to always get the best results for students, in an open and exciting learning environment.
I strongly believe that there must be only one reason for you not understanding science and maths: they taught these in a boring, obsolete way. It's their fault, not yours.
Hello, I am an experienced home tutor who teaches maths, physics and chemistry to students of primary, secondary and senior secondary level. My teaching methodology is based on conceptual development, interactive reasoning, daily practice and revision of the previous lesson. I like my students to be energetic, confident and above all optimistic.
I'm a responsible and sociable recently graduated spanish boy with an advanced knowlege of english language. I've been studying Industrial Design engineering and Mechanical engineering for the last 6 years, and it will be a pleasure helping childs and teens from secondary level to university degree level to improve at science subjects.
I have taught mathematics to secondary students and engineering courses to college students in past. I like teaching with real world examples which makes understanding the concepts a fun activity. The more we practice, the better we learn, so I focus on solving questions and in example based method.
I have given lessons to individuals at secondary school level but would like to expand to those at a university level also. I like to address topics individually to ensure the student fully understands each topic before moving on. I believe its important to be patient and work through things at the students pace.
Currently a student at the University of Edinburgh; my lessons are appropriate for all highschool students. When I'm asked by the tutee for help with a topic, I help by illustrating the topic from its roots in order to give the them a stronger foundation since that is what they usually lack.
I keep my classes on line and I have prepared sufficient tutorials with lot of examples and I describe everything every problem in a manner to make students to have interest over the subject. All students who have taken classes with me have great interest in learning.
My teaching method mainly revolves around meeting up in person and helping with questions you are stuck on. I try and use as much visual aid when teaching something new, and will use different techniques or "tricks" for remembering certain lots of information.
I am a Mechnical engineer and currently doing my masters from Edinburgh Napier University. I have studied psychology as a minor in my undergraduate studies. In order to convey the concept of a particular thing, a teacher must understand the students mental capabilities first. And I deal with my students in a way the want me to deal with them. This is how I teach.
Using my interactive whiteboard space on Skype allows me to draw and write naturally and explain any concepts in detail. I will also save my slides at the end of the session and send these over to you for you to review! My teaching is always based on the student and your needs.
My methodology is more constructivist than anything else but, with all things, there is a bit of an eclectic nature. First I find where the learner is and how much they understand now. Then, I look back to see what brought them to be where they are. Finally, we discuss what the goal is. From there, we develop a plan of learning.
One only gives what is his possession. I am mathematically well trained from high school through to PhD mathematics (algebra) and eager to impart some of these as well as help you build your abilities to face the mathematical world. I have coached many students at all levels of education to realise their mathematical goals.
My teaching method is to teach the topic and do questions as we go along to make sure the students are fully understanding what is being taught, to give them the highest chance of getting the top grades in their classes.
My teaching method is geared towards learning by doing. I believe the best way to learn maths is to try to understand what process is being done (and why) through practising problems and asking questions. Lessons would involve majority practise and theory where applicable.
My teaching method in maths is based on making the student understand the significance and motivation behind the topic, clearing the concepts, how the formula is derived (which allows the student not to forget the formula/theorem). Most importantly, I teach them how to identify their own mistakes in their answer without seeking the help of others.
My name is Rares Tuodrache and i am a first year student at the University of Edinburgh, studying Computer Science. As an individual, I regard myself as a responsible, ambitious and hardworking person, who fully commits to his actions. I consider that people are one of the best learning resources and therefore I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.
Firstly, l will always check whether or not you have learnt this before. If you have then l will ask you if you remember the method, if not l will proceed to introduce you to the topic.
Here is a structure of how I teach my 2 hour sessions: *The student is tested on content taught in previous class *Any doubt based on that content is clarified *Planned content for current session is taught *The student is tested with few questions to confirm understanding *Homework based on requirements of the student is given The student is given a test once every 2 months to...
I am an enthusiastic Physics student looking to help others to also become enthused! At school I often struggled to understand thing first time around and therefore feel I am now in a position where i can sympathise and consequently tutor in an understanding way.
Why do you need a tutor? Do you learn by giving attention in class or do you try to work on your own and study at home? Do you make lists? Draw pictures? Mindmaps?Do you like to read? Are you a good reader? Do you like to work alone? Are you afraid of failing? Do you wish you could forget about Math or English? What is your favourite subject? And hobbies? What are you good at? Do you know what...
I am a student and am friends with students, I know the problems with current teaching and textbooks! My teaching is from the perspective of a student; I will provide tips on how to use the mark scheme to your advantage, clarify confusing textbooks using methods I found useful, and inspire with illustrative examples of theory in practice.
It depends to what I am teaching but generally , first I say the theory verbally and then explain it over an example and then I give exercise for practicing the subject of the day.
I base my classes on real life examples that will help students grasp difficult concepts that are prevelent in math and physics related modules
My approach is, at its core, to understand the specific needs of each individual student. I aim to build a trusting and relaxed, but professional, relationship both with my students and their parents/carers. This is with the aim of fostering a positive environment in which the learning and retention of new concepts comes naturally.
I like to use pictures and little paper crafts to represent difficult maths ideas. I believe it's important to make the abstract knowledge to visible and touchable images which we are familiar with. It will also help students to understand the applications of Maths in daily life.
I offer Mathematics tuition at National 5, Higher & Advanced Higher levels. My tuition is very much geared to passing these exams and ensuring that students first understand the course principles and then demonstrate practical application of these principles in answering exam-style questions.
