To begin, the course syllabus will be reviewed with the student to establish the particular areas in which the student is struggling. Upon identifying the areas of difficulty, the material will be discussed with the student and explained using methods that are suitable to their learning style, whether it be visual, using mnemonics, analogies etc.
As a current Advanced Higher student I am familiar with the current National 5 and Higher Chemistry/Maths qualification structures. I am able to use my own personal experiences and familiarity with the course content in order to create the most effective lesson plans.
I'm an engineering student at the university of Aberdeen seeking for a challenging career in a progressive organization where I can acquire current and relevant knowledge and develop effective skills to maximize individual and organizational productivity. By helping other student I'm also helping myself to recall previous knowledge.
In initial lessons I will monitor you and how you methodically solve problems in order to discover your problem areas and develop plans on how to improve how you learn. As a tutor I am here to help you to achieve your goals, wether that be improving in class or aiming to pass your final exams to get into college/ university.
My teaching method is combining the idea of 'practice makes perfect' with a fun approach that keeps my students interested and keen to learn more.
I am a current student at University of Aberdeen, I am French and therefore can teach in both English and French. I studied the International Baccalaureate (IB). I am most confident with teaching high school students (year 8-12). I prefer to teach around practising a lot as I believe this is the way to assimilate lessons.
I am a postgraduate student at the University of Aberdeen. Before I was graduated from Kazakh-British Technical University with honour degree. I have won regional and republic school competitions in mathematics. My technique and method of study are to explain more briefly and accurate. I can teach all topics of mathematics in secondary school and undergraduate level.
We should agree on teaching method with anyone separately. Different people needs different type of teaching.
I'm a student from the U.S. studying at the University of Aberdeen working towards my BSc degree in physics. I personally have always required a deeper understanding of academic material in order to truly succeed in my studies.
-I'm currently a student at UofAberdeen in Physical Science. I had private sessions with 2 master students helping them with their MSc courses as well as helping a higher math student getting through her Higher Math exam over last year. I provide various tutoring service from doubt clearing sessions to teaching the entire syllabus in depth.
- I teach GCSE and A-Levels (Maths, Economics & Physics) - During my years of studies, i have spotted trends within examination questions that have been repeated since, as well as, I've derived a method that has taught me specified subjects in an efficient manner to not waste time. -I aim to teach the student in a way where he/she will not require a tutor again, including myself.
My lessons are for any student right from primary 1 up to university level. For the younger students I prefer to use visual aids thus making the problems more practical so that the student can get a better understanding of the problem and how to solve it . As for the older students, I make emphasis on practicing questions and drawing diagrams.
I have been trained by the most inspiring science tutors and this has greatly motivated me to help others understand seemingly tough science concepts in a creative manner that suits the student's learning ability. My tutoring approach is to understand my student, emphasize on his or her strengths and patiently work on weaknesses.
I am a second-year Petroleum Engineering student at the University of Aberdeen. I teach pupils below university level and help them achieve or develop their understanding of maths. I build around my students’ weak spots to solidify and develop their understanding, and do this with exercises, explanations, demonstrations and animations.
I teach students from school and high school to prepare for their Nat5 and A-level exams. I adapt my teaching technique to every student to make sure they understand and follow what I'm explaining. I can either set my own structure for the lessons or follow the structure set by their school so that they don't get confused.
I base my classes on student needs and try to use the expeditionary learning method to help understand some difficult aspects. I believe working on questions is really important for understanding the science, and have my own techniques for remembering harder content.
I am a creative teacher & love giving real life examples to make mathematics a fun loving and easy to learn subject. Being a postgraduate student, I have studied Chemistry and Math to a good level and I love to impart the basics to primary, secondary and undergraduate students. Methods of instruction can be through lectures, presentations or video calls.
My name is Arthur. I'm from Thailand, one of the most intense education system in the world. I'm 23 years old. I have had experienced being math tutor for 3-4 years.
I give lessons based on what the student needs and for that I like to have them understand in a visual and computational way the tool they want to use for an exercise. It is like I am showing the paths and the follow each path until they find the right one.
Ever since I was a young girl, I knew maths and science were my favourite subjects in school. I always loved to solve puzzles and I knew maths was just one huge puzzle where each piece connected to the next. As the years in school passed, I knew that maths would get harder and the teachers would soon be unable to help every single student out.
When teaching I like to find out what area you are having difficulty with and start from there, I find that giving lots of examples and explaining how to solve them help a lot when learning maths
I find that practice in exam techniques invariably helps to rapidly improve grades. I am able to help my students to maximise their potential using targeted revision and exam techniques. I am considered to be patient and adaptable and many of my students come to me by recommendation.
I am a Chinese Student in the University of Aberdeen, and I would like to teach any courses about math since I have a good knowledge on mathematics. My teaching structure is quite easy, starting from easy formula to examples. Also, I will focus on the keywords in each class, as well as give students the summary of each class and review at the beginning of next class.
Hello student, I am Nicholas. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Petroleum Engineering with First Class Honours, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. I am currently doing my MSc in Petroleum Engineering at University of Aberdeen. I provide tutoring service at GCE Advanced and Ordinary levels, as well as Science and Engineering Undergraduate level.
“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” - Albert Einstein. The above quotation was my inspiration to become a scientist. I base my lessons on training a student's mind to think and come up with solutions and beyond the idea of going to school and learning just facts.
I don't have a set method, I test my students to see how they learn best. Then I tailor the method that will work best for them.
My name is iquaibom iboro, i am a Petroleum Energy Economics and finance Masters graduate from the University of Aberdeen, currently requesting to give maths lessons to primary, secondary students. my speciality is in statistics, geometry and lots more.
PhD candidate in engineering, with experience in both one-on-one and class tutoring for maths, physics, chemistry and general engineering courses. I tutor secondary school students and also undergraduates. I deliver my tutorials by breaking down the complex into the simple. This is done by pinning relationships between what is being taught and what the student experiences in their everyday life.
My Teaching Method is to simplify the subjects so that anyone can understand it easily and fast. It is also a method I use for myself. I had a couple great teachers that made the subjects interesting and got me into them. I found kids learn best when they can use the things they have learned in everyday activities.
I can firstly explain required topics to the student, and then use examples and exercises to ensure student's full understanding. Most of the work is student's job - he is the one who needs to understand, I can just navigate his/her thoughts to reach the highest level of understanding and to achieve necessary goals.
