I like to first talk thoroughly about the specific topic then move on to different questions from a basic level to difficult. I am happy to help in any way, if you prefer to have your own method of me helping you that’s fine. I love maths and have recently tutored college students and helped high school students also.
Tutoring gives me the chance to tailor make my lessons to match my students needs. I start by assessing my student so that I can plan my lessons in advance based on each child’s individual needs.
I am an Aerospace Engineering degree level student looking to help others to succeed in their Maths and Physics studies at GCSE level or below, I hold A levels in both Maths and Physics, I will be providing lessons on a one to one basis.
Let me start by saying that I honestly believe that laughing together assists learning. So, throughout my teaching career, I take great joy in establishing excellent rapport with students under my tutelage; my personal opinion is that students learn best in a relaxed, friendly yet purposeful environment.
I am currently studying my A levels which include: Maths, Physics, Accounting and Law. I’m really friendly and I understand how the new GCSE's work because I’ve completed them in 2018. I’m really friendly and aim to make learning a positive experience.
In my personal experience the best way to become a competent mathematician is by applying the mathematical theory to answer questions. For this reason my tutorials will follow a structure of a theory recap for the current topic before introducing personalized questions including exam questions which increase in difficulty.
I use a mixture of paper and computer based technologies in my approach as I find the contrast is more motivational. I begin by identifying key gaps in knowledge and then develop a program to address the individual needs of the student.

My teaching method is determined partly by the nature of the learner. On one to one sessions, I engage with the learner to figure out topics they find challenging and need help with. I ensure students are comfortable and by starting with simpler questions on topics, I build up learner's confidence.
Currently Studying Physics at Lancaster University - Excelled at both Mathematics and Further at A-Level. Aim to seek out and improve particular topics a student may struggle with. Try to keep lessons fun and engaging to aid with remembering methods.
I focus on embedding a higher understanding of mathematical theories and concepts, using the most efficient strategies, which encourages independent learning and promotes problem solving abilities.
My teaching method is designed around offering real life examples to base abstract theory on. Children and young adults often struggle with abstract topics (famously algebra) I design my lessons to entice their curiosity, prove the real life worth of a topic and promote mathematical reasoning, problem solving and a deeper understanding (or maths mastery).
- Classes Children follow a programme, the starting point being determined by an initial assessment. The maths programme is pure maths - from number recognition to GCSE algebra. It includes topics such as shape, time, measurement, area/perimeter, series, etc. We will also help with applied topics as required. We can provide practice papers for school exams (KS1, KS2, GCSE).
I can very easily adapt my teaching style to the style that is best suited to the student. I work well with children, taking great satisfaction from them enjoying learning and seeing their progress. I am able to create an inspiring learning environment even though the lessons are online. I aim to make the lesson memorable by keeping it fun, colourful and engaging.
I am a very experienced primary school teacher and I have experience teaching Year 2 up to Year 6 pupils. I will be providing lessons up to a primary level standard. Within my sessions, I aim to meet your needs and spend time in ensuring you understand what we are studying. The more time we spend the more likely you are to get it so this is extremely important.
My teaching methodology is working at the rate of the student and adapts my style dependant in the requirements of the student. Wether that is fast or slow paced, or aiming for a grade 7+ or a grade 4 , I can provide the help to any type of student appropriately.

I currently teach Maths in schools from y7 up to GCSE. I can tutor with any maths topic up to and including A level, due to achieving A* in both Maths and Further Maths at A-level. I believe the best way to revise and learn is to work through examinations questions, but I am open to any other method of learning and will teach any topic you feel you need help on.
Before the first session I will first ask a new student to complete a past paper for me to mark so I can get an idea of any problem areas and adapt the sessions to be most effective. I will also ask new students about any topics they find particularly difficult in order to put together appropriate worksheets and activities of varying difficulty for the first few sessions.
I started tutoring in 2012 and in 2015 I became a full-time private tutor. I graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) English Literature from Edge Hill University in 2014 and have a full DBS.
