I am an experienced secondary Maths teacher with a friendly approachable manner. I have been a classroom teacher for the past three years. I have a wide and varied background from state schools to special schools to grammar schools. As a teacher I have ensured that all pupils in my classes made progress taking into account all their needs and abilities.
I am an enthusiastic person who is always willing to help others. Encouraging and supporting children to finish the work themselves are my main methods to guide my trainee. I believe this way would be the best for children to enhance their independent skills because children would have much more chance to do and fail and learn from the failure all by themselves.
First and foremost I believe lessons should be interesting and engaging. People learn new things every day of their lives through being interested in a subject and wanting to learn more. I believe all subjects can be presented in an interesting and easy to understand way if enough time is given to tailoring the delivery to the student.
My teaching method is based around the fact that to be engaged you have to enjoy the subject matter, so I try to merge having fun with learning maths.
Attempt past papers to identify weaknesses and then Google to support. Each lesson to check times tables. The most common reason pupils fail in mathematics is as a consequence of losing confidence. My earliest priority would be to remedy this by ensuring that lower order concepts had been fully understood. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Mathematics and Information Technology.
I have tutored various levels Primary, preparatory and secondary school student, specifically 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th 9th graders in the subjects of Maths and English Language; also, I tutored A-Level equivalent Maths and Physics. Most of the time I tend to convert my session into an interactive debate to understand what my students already know and what they lack.
I looked at each topic - vocabulary, meaning, concept then looked at exam past papers. My main preference of teaching is visual. Where I can show the same visual concept that s/he has heard to aid better learning, I will use topic related pictures. this can be on the internet or from a book.
Most importantly, I tailor my teaching to you. In our initial lesson before we begin, I get to know you as a person as well as how you best learn as a student too. From there, together, we discuss ways that have and haven't worked for you and then I explain the way I feel is best to help you progress throughout the time I teach you.
I approach each subject step by step, I will not overwhelm any pupils with too much information at once. My teaching method will be adapted to each specific child and the methods will be what works for them. Everyone gets to where they need to be, sometimes it just takes a bit more time.
Hi! I received my masters in Theoretical Physics from the University of Liverpool after sitting a foundation year to gain access to the course. I understand the difficulties students face and over the years have found new ways to approach studying.
My main teaching method is to talk through a subject with my student, highlighting key concepts and asking them to teach it back to me.
I approach each topic by firstly explaining the basics and then thoroughly explaining it in the simplest way possible.
My teaching method is by asking the student which areas they struggle in and base my lessons to cater for them
Adaptable lessons, catered towards individual students needs. Individual timetable with attainable goals and steps to help you reach your potential.
My teaching method is a a combination of English and Greek techniques. This happens because I know how both systems work.
I work with students struggling with the subject, try to understand their weakness and work on it to improve their overall understanding towards the subject. In my views, if you have your basics clear in Mathematics, it makes higher levels easier.
My teaching methodology is that I'll give lessons topic by topic each day including with a bit of practicing homework
I offer Maths and Numeracy lessons to a range of levels, from primary to GCSE and A Level. I can also teach adult learners looking to develop number skills. I believe practice and explanation is a great way to learn and so in lessons we will work together on different problems and build up to the point where you are comfortable at the desired level.
All teaching is individualised and dependent on the learning styles of the pupil.
