I am a young, enthusiastic music graduate who has held prior teaching experience in an international boarding school. I have taught students from a variety of backgrounds, abilities and ages through comprehensive and well-structured lessons.
Hugo Tervarent is a professional drummer/percussionist who has been teaching for over 15 years in England and France. After graduating from CFPM in Paris and Tech music school here in London, he then started to set up his own teaching project (Drums For All) in primary schools around London, gaining a lot of experience in teaching young children (from 6 years old).
Hi there, I'm Frazer and i've been a drummer for 15 years. I have a degree from the ICMP in music majoring in drumming and teaching where I wrote a dissertation on the psychology of teaching methods and how they apply to different peoples personalities.
Teaching is different to every individual as every individual learns in a different way. Tailored teaching allows the student to gain the most out of each session, leading to faster progression. I prefer a more practical and interactive approach towards teaching drums as I have found this to be the most effective.
I am a professional drummer from Italy, based in London and my drum classes are perfectly suitable for beginners and advanced players. My methods are based on the main purpose of becoming a "musical" drummer who knows how to use the language of Music. I am a friendly person and I always enjoy the interexchange of information between me and students.
I am able to teach lessons for beginners to advanced! My lessons cover styles, reading and technique. I will cover rudiments, and applying them to the kit. Reading, wether the student would like to learn to read or wants to start applying their reading to musical situations and styles. And I will cover various drumming techniques such as moeller technique, linear playing and open handed playing.
I'm a Portuguese-born professional drummer since I was 16 years old. I teach all genres of music from Pop to Rock to Jazz, Afro-Cuban, etc. I believe versatility is super important, and fun! (especially as a drummer) I also teach musical Theory and Harmony and how to read music as well, whether for drummers or any other instrument.
my method of teaching is rather simple, would like to do both group and 1-1 teaching. I'm comfortable in both areas. In this case as a drummer instructor i would go through the names of the drums and cymbals.
I base my classes around the drum kit. Learn the basics and then begin to learn more complicated techniques alongside starting to play drums for the fun! I have experience teaching young children but would be keen to take on all ages, its never to late.
My approach is very much directed by the student. I try to take the lessons in a direction that's inspiring but still challenging. I identify the problem areas in each individual and then tailor the content of the sessions with the goal of tackling them, taking the student down a logical path to progress. Please read my CV below for more information.
A master of percussion, I, hereby enroll myself for imparting the same knowledge to my worthy students and give them the actual meaning of music and joy. The art of teaching has been fascinating me since 5 years and the joy was immense.
I am a percussionist with 12 years experience in performing, and 4 years experience in teaching percussion and drum kit. Drums and Percussion are the most theatrical of instruments, and I have enjoyed enthusing students in this art. I am also qualified in theory and music, having graduated with a double first from the University of Cambridge.
My teaching method is simple. I like to keep things fun and informative. Every lesson begins with warmup/technique, and then the lesson is open for whatever you need or want to learn. If need be, I can plan out the entire lesson as well. I think every student is different and should be treated individually.
Teaching from your place or my place also, wrist developing technics, study of the rudiments as a daily tool and as an indispensable resource for the rest of your life. Assorted rhythms, stretching, warming up, jamming, improvising, reading music .....
After gauging your level at the instrument, we will be looking at mastering the basic techniques such as rudiments and stick control, as well as developing grooves and fills. If you are studying grades, lessons will be split between studying pieces and technical exercises.
ANDY TURCO -Drummer- PURPOSE: Playing has always has to be about: sharing emotions, express feelings, have fun, being curious, pushing musicians boundaries.
My teaching methodology bases on understanding and learning instead of the pure enjoyment and immagination that music can offer, however, the enjoyment is still an important element of studying the subject.
In my opinion, the most important part of learning an instrument is to enjoy playing and be creative. I'll base my lessons on your individual interests, tastes and requirements. I'll keep the right level of challenge in order to keep you steadily progressing.
I aim for the student's improvement through a structured trajectory or instruction, adapting myself to his or her specific needs. I give space to dialogue, understanding and creativity in my method of teaching.
Tuition I am hardworking and have a very professional but fun attitude, which so far has got me extremely gratifying and inspiring work over the years. My lessons aim to inspire and have the pupil so enthusiastic to learn so much more which is incredibly easy to do since this is such a fun, artistic and inquisitive instrument.
