My name is Pete and I'm a 45 year old private Maths tutor. I can teach to any level and try to make Maths a more enjoyable subject for all students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Maths - I mainly tutor GCSE, A level (including Further Maths) and International Baccalaureate (all 3 levels).
I like to break each topic down into its simplest parts and then show the links between each part to develop a full understanding. I find that it is easier to learn if you have a solid understanding of the basics to build upon, which is often rushed in class.

I study Economics at University of Bath, and give lessons to all ages of secondary school students in Maths, Physics, Economics and Spanish, having studied all these at A-Level, achieving grades of A*AAB.
I am currently studying for a BSc in Physics at Swansea University. I feel I had to use a broken down technique to be able to learn everything I had to and will try convey this style of learning. This combined with going through questions is the key along with practise.
Physics revolves around understanding, so talking through lots of questions and topics is key. As well as that, there is a lot of maths in Physics up to GCSE so helping students practice these kinds of questions and marking them, showing them where they are going wrong and helping them to understand how to solve each problem would be a critical part of lessons.
My teaching style focuses on understanding the principles behind the topic and question comprehension. Many people struggle in the sciences do to the prevalence `why` questions in the exams. These questions not only require subject knowledge but also an understanding of what the question itself is asking, not an easy skill.
I am a current A-Level Science, Maths and Further Maths student looking to pursue a career in the sciences. As such, I would ideally be giving lessons to current Maths or science GCSE students (or FSMQ) , involving practice papers, help with any homework, course content or classwork and exam guidance.
I believe in being passionate about education; it wasn't until someone showed me how to fall in love with my studies that I became the Astrophysics student I am today. When I tutor, I try to pass this passion on, working through concepts and problems by using real world applications that make the subjects easier to understand.

I am an experienced classroom teacher working as a full-time tutor. Whether you are seeking short term tuition in the run up to exams or more long term tuition, I'll be glad to help. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I find it most useful to go through questions around topics a student may have difficulty with in order to boost their confidence in the topic. This means they can then go on to answer similar questions individually, without beginning to panic and ignoring the question.
Teaching methods depend on the individual and the context. Within a school environment, science should be a practical subject which is hands on and fun. As a tutor it involves identifying areas of misunderstanding, revision, exam guidance, etc. Ideally tutoring needs to be tailored to the individual and the needs of those involved.
My teaching method is what I believe to be the best way to learn; which is the intuitive method. I believe that making the student understand the subject matter will not only help achieve the better grade but will also help the student retain the subject material for longer.
My teaching strategy includes full coverage of coarse work so that student do not need to have extra study hours after the classes. complete guide in any subjects related to Science and Mathematics. Friendly Environment with the students, understanding and caring.
