My approach in term of teaching is to make it as practical and enjoyable as possible, not only very formal sessions.I use a combination of teaching methods and tools including one to one discussion (explaining/ question and answer), visual reinforcement (animation/ video images), example questions.
I am originally from London but moved over to Northern Ireland to study a BSc in Mathematics at Queens University, Belfast. I am currently studying a Masters Degree in Data Analytics, also at Queens University. I have previous experience helping other students at the University to learn and understand Mathematics more clearly.
My undergraduate major is mathematics, and I graduated from a Normal University which is a professional university to cultivate teachers. I have been a math tutor about 1800 hours, i have rich experiences to deal with the math problems and enough skills to teach students master what they should know.
As a tutor I would check in with the student(s) to find out what they would like to focus on. I will check what they are confident in and build from there. I am a very patient person and emphatic that not everyone picks up everything as the same pace so I would personalise the lesson to the individual(s).
My approach is to really help students understand mathematics, using when needed, visual diagrams and showing proofs to fully explain each step of working.

I am a keen mathematician and have previously achieved 2A*'s in GCSE Maths and Further Maths and A in A Level I have been tutoring now for 2 years with students ranging from Primary School transfer test up to A Level Standard with great results.
I give lessons to secondary and GCSE level school pupils. My method of teaching is very student friendly and the student gets my full attention as it is a one-to-one experience.
I am currently in U6th studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. I completed my Maths A Level in 1 year and achieved an A*. I have some prior experience through one of my Prefect roles, in which I mentored a GCSE student in Mathematics last year. Explaining things at a different level, I carried him from a D to a very high B.
I have tutored a number of individuals in the past, with wide-ranging abilities and some with learning difficulties. As such, my approach to teaching is very much dependent upon the individual student's needs and strengths. I aim to build confidence alongside academic capability.
I meet each student first and see what their learning style is and take it from there. Generally I will work from past papers and ensure each topic is understood fully before moving on and will give a short end of topic test.
My student hopefully will be able to state the topic or questions that they require help with. Depending on the class itself but usually my class would detail the fundamental key points of the topic first, such as theorems or definitions. I would ask the student if there is any particular part of the topic that they are not comfortable with or the entire topic.
