My teaching method depends on the student and how they learn best. I also try to adapt my lessons to what the student wants. I can provide resources if they wish, on the other hand, if they want to use their own resources and work through things they already have I am more than happy to oblige.
I begin by seeking to identify where my students' strengths and weaknesses lie, either by an initial or an early assessment. This is crucial. Individual lessons are largely about mastering the mathematical topics that a student has not yet, or has only partially, grasped. This is achieved by lots of practice exercises and, where necessary, by exposition from me.
I approach each topic with explaining concepts alongside worked examples and past paper questions to help gather confidence and understanding so you can be ready for an upcoming exam
Fundamental to practical solving skill. Math is simple once you got the right tutor and the right tools. It will be a whole new experience for you as I have accumulated many knowledge about math, some which in not exam related but just the art of math.
I am a Year 9 at Westcliff Grammar school and is looking to help primary level students struggling at maths. I have never given official lessons but I have mentored at my school.
I aim to personalise every aspect of teaching. Like most things in life, confidence can affect performance and the ability to learn. Success breeds confidence and confidence breeds success. I am not a natural academic and believe hard work, dedication and the will to break down barriers will ultimately bring rewards. If one technique fails to deliver then search for another that will.
I enjoy working through example and understanding where students are making mistakes to help them improve in the areas often overlooked when in class .
My first session is free, to go over exactly what the tutee hopes to gain from our sessions. After this, I follow a process of reviewing previous material, then teaching and testing new material, and finally summarising with a brief plenary, including setting further work if necessary. I also have an enhanced DBS/CRB check.
My teaching method is first getting to know the student, their ability and the areas of the subject they require assistance in. I would work through these areas with clear examples, explaining each step of the progress carefully at as basic a level as possible.
I am happy to go over any topics that the students feel unsure on in their school work and will produce revision material for students to work on, both in tutoring sessions and on their own. I am studying A-levels myself so I will be tutoring students from primary level, up to GCSE level.
I am sixth form student with experience in tutoring struggling maths students of different abilities. I use a methodological approach to teaching and ensure that students have a comprehensive understanding of a task before moving on.
I try to tailor the lesson to the needs of the student and keep it fun and engaging so as to keep the student engaged for as long as possible. I aim to push the student to the best of their abilities and do tests regularly to ensure they have still retained the information taught to them previously. I hold a degree in pharmacology and i love being impacting on the younger generation.
I provide exciting and thought provoking maths lessons. Whether these are for basic skills or to challenge your child at a mastery and greater depth level. I have a friendly and nurturing approach as I really get know your child.
I will prioritise overcoming the individual's weaknesses of the subject by providing various exercises and different ways to approach questions so the best way to reach a solution is found for each person as this will vary. From my own experience I encourage attempting past papers as it can be most beneficial and prepares the student best for an exam.
I work to promote understanding and confidence in your knowledge. I know it can be tough to grasp new things but I hope following my tutoring we can bring all the pieces together to build a bigger picture where you understand the content and feel confident in answering a question in it in an exam. I also want to build on your exam technique.
In my experience, it is very important that the student understands the exam skills required. Also, practice makes perfect! I support the student in becoming a more independent thinker, which is crucial in interpreting the exam questions, problem-solving, and developing responses to certain questions.
Each lesson will begin with a short recap on the previous lesson, or a look over any work that was set. Then we will go through some sample questions of a new topic before I ask you to try them on your own. If I feel it is needed, I will also set some further practice questions to consolidate your learning.
My teaching is simple and straight forward helping people understand the basics and then working on them having a much greater understanding of the subject. I am slacken and patient and can work with people of all levels and ages.
My teaching strategy is directed and inspired by each different student. Each student learns n their unique and personal way. I like experimenting with visual aids and showing the application of Maths in real life. In this way algebra, geometry and much more areas are put into perspective! The use of practicals and inquiry has also become increasingly common in my teaching methods.
I enjoy making lessons relaxed, laid back, fun and as educational as possible. I have taught a range of ages of children from 5 to 18 years, and am capable of adjusting teaching methods to suit all individuals.
I am an enthusiastic and motivated A-Level student with ambitions of Investment banking. Upon understanding my student, I teach accordingly providing them with all the help they require to enable them to reach their maximum ability. My teaching approach varies from 1to1 individual teaching, online resources, textbooks and my personal knowledge and experience.
My teaching method is designed towards passing knowledge to pupil in a way and manner that they can easily understand the subject through the use of illustration and objects that bring home the point. I have successfully adopted this method for students especially written their GCSE with much success.
