I have recently finished my A-levels and have a desire to teach Mathematics at a secondary level. I plan to go to university in 2019 to study either Secondary Level Mathematics Teaching or Mathematics to then go into teaching and I look forward to tutoring to get more experience.
I attempt to teach as efficiently as possible so my tutees can receive any information in a condensed and easy to understand format. I can base my sessions around exam syllabus to improve grades as best as possible or base them around a general understanding of the topic depending on what the tutee wants.
During my undergraduate studies, I tutored GCSE Maths. I have taught over 50 students and had them achieve well above their expectations in Maths GCSE and A-levels. Prior to my postgraduate position, I taught English as a Foreign Language in the UK, Ecuador, and Peru to children and adults, in small groups and large classes.
With teaching, depending on the student's preference, I either like to go through the content book with them and explain and give other examples of anything that they don't understand or need further explaining on. I also like to go through test papers with the student, and as we're going through the paper, answer any questions raised by the student and explain the questions they get wrong.
- I have qualifications in Mathematics to an A-Level Standards, achieving the highest grades possible in iGCSE Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (OCR, A**) and A-Level Mathematics (OCR MEI, A*). I can provide specific exam preparation or provide support to students who are having problems in mathematics.
PhD qualified highly experienced tutor and examiner. I have got many books and all the past exam papers. Most of my students have achieved very good result in their exam. I have received an award for Top 3 private tutors in Oxford.
My teaching methods are based on lecture notes and textbooks. I focus on covering the key concepts during the class. Normally I require students to practice problems at home. During the class I will go through them and try to help the students build the links between different areas of the subject.

Approach to teaching involves understanding of the student needs and catering my lessons/tutorials according to those and this method has always proved highly successful.
I strive to establish a connection between myself and the student, trying to make teaching a two way process. I can deal with children of all ages and am very communicative. I am strict although my goal is to make the student curious and engage them. My students end up loving the subject we study together. Tangible improvement to student confidence.

ANOVAs, GLMs, GLMMs, Regressions, correlations, non-parametric statistics, meta-analysis, and more. Use of software R, SPSS, Stata. Lessons are for Undergraduate and Master students in Methods and Analysis for Biology, Anthropology, Psychology, Zoology, and related subjects.
I am an Oxford undergraduate studying biochemistry, willing to give tutorials in physics, chemistry, biology and maths to A-levels or GCSE students. I teach from my own complete understanding of the knowledge and help students with their exam techniques - improved examination results with a better understanding is the ultimate goal.
My approach depends on the age, ability and personality of the student. I think it's important to target areas where students' understanding can be improved, and to explain key concepts in a simple way, providing a foundation which we can build upon using examples, exercises and exam style questions.
I enjoy finding new ways to make learning enjoyable and interesting. I like to celebrate acheivements with my students and feel that positive reinforcement and patience are key to successful learning.
