I am a student studying Physics MSci at Kings College London and I can give lessons to students studying anywhere from primary to secondary school and can teach GCSE qualifications in maths and physics related subjects. My methods will try to encourage students to approach problems in different ways so that their problem solving skills can grow.
I prefer to adopt a teacher-centred approach and feel the best way to learn is from providing direct instruction and guidance whereby students can listen and watch. I enjoy to plan ahead of lessons and follow a specific structure during tutoring. That said I am flexible and am very open to feedback from either the students or the parents.
I will go for an interactive teaching, continuously evaluating the comfort level and learning difficulties that my student may have and clear it. After each lesson we (me & my student) shall solve some relative problems together starting with the easier ones and gradually moving up the standard.
I will teach lessons to anyone under 16, who needs maths, physics or computer science help. We would start off by identifying the areas in which you would like to improve in, and by the end I will make sure you have learnt what you wanted to.
I go topic by topic and make sure the student has mastered the content and has plenty of practice in each topic before they move onto the next to ensure there are no gaps filled. I always encourage the student to practice, practice and practice as this is what gets you the A*.
I have given lessons to my younger friend, who was in year 12 at the time. I base my teaching on a practical application of theorem. In my opinion, all mathematical theorems have application in nature and I tried to find as many in real life situations for given method to use so that it would make a logical sense and be easy to understand and then use after lots of practice.
