About Jennifer
With an extensive background in special education, there are several strengths I bring as a tutor for children with special needs: 1. Deep Understanding of Diverse Disabilities: My experience with students that have cognitive impairments, autism, and other disabilities means I can adapt my approach based on each child’s unique needs. I can identify strategies that work best for different learners, which makes me a versatile and highly effective tutor. 2. Individualized Instruction: I help guide students to break down tasks to ensure students are engaged and challenged at their level, promoting greater independence and confidence. 3. Behavioral Management Expertise: I am equipped to work with children that have challenging behaviors, and I create a safe and structured learning environment. 4. Collaboration with Families and Support Teams: Having many on our education team I work closely collaborating with families, as well as therapists, and other support personnel if parents desire, ensuring consistency across environments and maximizing student progress. 5. Differentiation and Multi-sensory Techniques: My strength is in my ability to use differentiated instruction, including visual, auditory, and hands-on activities, enables me to meet the needs of a wide range of learners. These methods can help make abstract concepts more accessible for students with diverse needs. 7.
