About Andrea
Aside from obtaining my Biology degree I also have some experience. In 2016 I was a research assistant at McGill University in an ecological genomics research lab and throughout my degree, I also gained lab experience.
I love science but, half-way through my degree I became more interested in education and in 2018, did an internship at Mad Science as an educational designer.
In 2019, I was interested in gaining more experience teaching children and found a position as a camp counselor at CIADI summer science and engineering camp where I would perform fun scientific experiments and would explain to my group the science behind the experiments!

This is my lesson structure:
1- Briefly explain any necessary background information
2- Explain the concept
3- Time for questions
4- Show the students how to do practice problems (and understand the logic behind the problem) and prove practice problem solutions for them to do alone.
Or alternatively:
- Evaluate problems or knowledge the students have and provide feedback on what needs improvement.
My main objective is to help the student understand so that they can apply what they learned it in the future. Lastly, throughout my lessons, I will guide you so you can focus on the most important details and save time, always with a positive attitude and patience! :)
