About Merina
Hi guys! My name is Merina and I’m a business management graduate. However, my dream is to study further and hopefully to become a teacher one day. You must be wondering why I want to change my profession. Well, for starters been able to enrichen young minds and helping students develop the confidence they need to follow their dreams is something that I have always had a passion for. I love reading fiction books-to be able to embark on an adventure in my imagination while not actually doing so is amazing and absolutely comforting, hence literature is one of my favourite subjects to tutor. Anyways I’m not going to bore you guys with a long story, so let’s get straight to the point. I want to empower young students to believe they can achieve, to follow your dreams, and I also want the opportunity to learn from my students as well. I intend to make each lesson worth it, and to take your opinions into account as well as to allow you students the power of choice. To invent new and creative ways to make our lessons unique and fun is what I strive to accomplish.

As your tutor i will try to incorporate a sense of surprise and mystery into your lessons. When i am about to unveil a new lesson, i will give students a new clue each day up until the last day before the start of the lesson.
The power of choice. Choice can be a powerful motivator because it helps to foster student interest and independence
The usage of technology and electronics. i will incorporate it into my overall teaching strategy. Instead of standing in front of the room and lecturing, by using a Smartboard it will allow students to be more attentive with interactive display.
Try to create a real-world connection to what my students are learning. This will maintain a better understanding of why you need to learn what I'm teaching.
