About Sowmya
Hi! I'm a Life Sciences tutor with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Genetics & Microbiology and an M.Sc. in Microbiology. I teach students from Class 11 all the way up to postgraduate level — and my one goal is to make Biology actually make sense to you. I hold a BSc. Biochemistry, Genetics, and Microbiology and also a Master's in Microbiology. I bring a deep, research-informed perspective to every class. I've spent years geeking out over cells, DNA, microbes, and everything in between! I know how overwhelming these subjects can feel, especially when textbooks make simple ideas sound complicated. My job is to flip that — to make Biology and Life Sciences feel interesting, logical, and even fun. No rote learning, no "just memorize this" — I'll make sure you actually get it. The major study technique I use is active learning, and I am going to teach you how to actively study biology rather than just memorizing.
In my classes, we figure things out together. I explain every concept in plain, everyday language first — then we go deeper. I use lots of diagrams, real-life examples, and stories to make things stick. I'll ask you questions (not to test you, but to help you think), and I'll always make sure you understand before we move forward. Struggling with something specific? We slow down, no pressure, no judgment.
