I often ask for a framework of the subjets in question. Then I study the appropriate textbooks beforehand. I also adapt the methods to the difficulties that the student may have and try to solve in them has a team, with the least amount of frustrations. I’m an apologist of student pro-activity, but I don’t leave students without some scheduled work, whether it be passive work (videos or readings) or active work (exercises or tests). I like constant feedback from whoever is involved.
