• When did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I started my tutoring practice when I was in the University and continued working in the education industry, not knowing that I would become an educator. It was just a pure joy to work with young learners and help them to get onto their life path, and I loved seeing students and parents get excited how their effort turns into measurable improvement in students life and performance at school.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I enjoy both science and mathematics. I believe that every scientific and mathematical activity we do help us to get closer to the truth. Both subjects involve a lot of ambiguity and far from the absolute truth (if there is any), but this uncertainty gives me a motivation to plunge into the subjects. Besides, learning itself is fun and rewarding and love to share this experience with young learners.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  Tutoring provides an individualized learning experience for everyone. Unlike teaching in the classroom (which I do during the daytime), I get to have a chance to analyze individual's needs in greater depth and discuss with students and parents to assist young learners in finding their path. Learning is an enjoyable journey, and I can help students to open their eyes and have a new perspective.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  Everyone is my role model. Whether there is an excellent professor from a recognized University or a child from a kindergarten, the way people learn and teach inspires me. Most of all, however, I would pick my grade 11 mathematics teacher who showed the joy of mathematics and change my perspective on learning. She taught me mathematics isn't the only memorization of how to solve questions but an investigation process to find the solution to a problem.

• What are your keys to success?

  Success comes from resiliency and consistency. I love the comparison of life to a marathon, and I believe the same applies to learn. In this era, learning isn't limited to the classroom experience, but it extends beyond the walls and happens throughout one's lifetime. It is very imperative to maintain a good pace and know my strength and weakness, and plan strategically to achieve goals.
