About Fahad
I’m currently studying Mathematics at the University of Bath and am on track for a First-Class degree. I achieved top grades in A-Level Maths and Further Maths, and alongside my studies I have spent the past three years tutoring students from KS3 to GCSE level, helping them improve both their confidence and results. I’m also comfortable supporting A-Level students and those preparing for entrance exams such as the 11+.
My teaching approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation. I break down difficult topics into clear, manageable steps and adapt explanations to suit each student’s learning style. Lessons are interactive and supportive, with plenty of guided practice and exam-style questions to help students develop confidence and problem-solving skills independently.
I aim to create a professional, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Whether a student is aiming to strengthen core skills, improve grades, or prepare for important exams, I work to ensure lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to their goals.

I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring, focusing on making sure students genuinely understand topics rather than just memorising methods. I adapt lessons to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, and I try to build confidence alongside problem-solving ability. My teaching combines clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice, and exam-style questions so students can apply what they’ve learnt independently. I also encourage students to explain their thinking out loud, which helps identify misunderstandings early and strengthens long-term understanding.
Lessons are typically around 1 hour long, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. I find that a minimum of an hour works best because it gives enough time to properly explain concepts in depth, work through examples carefully, and practise questions without rushing.
I have 3 years of experience tutoring KS3 and GCSE Maths as a volunteer, helping students improve both their understanding and confidence in mathematics. Alongside this, I am currently studying Maths, Statistics and Data Science at University of Bath, which continues to strengthen my mathematical and analytical skills.
My lessons are suitable for a wide range of students and ages, including:

* GCSE Maths students (Foundation and Higher)
* A-Level Maths students
